Very Good
fantastic very useful appliance. the sound is like a humming fan sound. it is not loud. loads of water was gathered in it within 3 hours of starting it. and I can see all clothes which were damp are now dry. I put it on 50 % . it also has a timer so I put it on 3 hours or 2 hours or less or more for my need. it has also higher speed and lower speed which one can apply according to need. it is a very no nonsense dehumidifier. I wished it had hepa filter too and would do air purification too. really useful and doing a great job. I feel I am healthier and air feels better now. if one has a damp flat in damp London, Uk this is a necessity.

Brilliant for drying clothes.
Second one of these not due to anything wrong with the product but I upgraded from an older model. Used for drying clothes and works a treat. It isn't too loud while running and fits in a small space. Used daily. And doesn't impact the electric bill too much.

Works well
Works well, only downside is the water collection is at the back, would be better at the front (my previous swan dehumidifier had the tank at the front) as with constant moving of the dehumidifier getting to the tank at the back, when full it spills the water out, as it's upstairs on my carpeted landing it's not ideal. It is quite noisy in comparison to my previous Swan and as it starts to fill it creates a low humming vibration. I'm very sensitive to noise and if it starts to fill during the night this can wake me easily. Also when I have team meetings and the door isn't shut, people on the other end have commented that I sound like I'm either driving in a car or in a warehouse. My last swan dehumidifier did last me 11 years so hoping to get the same out of this. And i do think the downsides are my own personal preference, rather than a functionality issue. I live in a three bed semi detached, have this on the landing as there's no fan in the bathroom and the house can be quite cold as it's open plan so do get a build up of condensation around the windows. In addition to these I also use the uni bond dehumidifiers as well and I do still get a build up of condensation despite these working well.

Very easy to use
The Swan dehumidifier is very easy to use, runs quietly and so far has worked efficiently and needs emptying every morning before it gets too full. I have really noticed the difference in humidity and would recommend this product. The price is also very reasonable. I have only been.using it for about 10 days so cannot comment on how long it will last. It does have a 2 year guarantee.

1 star for the product but 5 stars for Amazon customer service
The product performance was excellent while it worked as it removed lots of moisture from the room. However, it stopped working after 2 weeks. When you switch it on the power button lights up and there is a murmuring sound from inside for 5 secs. And nothing happens after that. Tried all the troubleshooting mentioned in the user guide and still no joy. The only good news is that Amazon customer service was excellent as always and they organised the return and refund for me. So in spite of the disappointing product performance, Amazon customer service made up for that.

Does the job, BUT with issues.
I've owned this for just over two years now, and I feel like I have experience with it to give you my honest opinion on it. First of all - it's not worth more than 3 stars. I paid £153 for it, and that's £53 too much!! First the good news; It gulps moisture out of the air. I'll explain; My house was built in the 60s, updated with modern windows and doors. So it collects moisture and holds heat - both are not a good combination! Above 80% moisture and mold starts forming - you don't want that. Mold attacks the lungs and can affect the brain. My house can easily reach 75% moisture every morning, so switching on the swan(not even at full power) can reduce moisture to 65% within 30mins. Of course, I leave all the inside doors opened, so as to circulate the air. I live in a bungalow, so this may help with easy air circulation. If you had this with an upstairs, I assume you'd have to transport it upstairs when your finished with downstairs to be efficient. I purchased the Swan after discovering black mold behind my sofa - My sofa sits up against the wall. In the 2 years I've owned and used the Sawn, no black mold has returned. Although I do get the usual mold starting along the window edges. Nothing that can't be cleaned up with bleach. On to the negatives; It's noisy. So much so, if it's in the same room as you. You'd have to turn the TV up slightly! Full power feels like it double the noise! After a year, the wheeled feet popped out of their socket one at a time a month after each other. - nothing that couldn't be sorted with super glue. The timer is temperamental. We found setting it for X hours and returning to find it STILL going! We were baffled with this until one day, it was in the same room with us, and coming up to the hour it should have switched off - it's stopped, the flap closed, but suddenly it beeped, switching to life again!!! - this doesn't happen all that often, every few weeks. It's good to see that someone in the comments has the same problem with the timer. The water collector: this seems like it was an after thought, or something they forgot to design when they finished the rest of it and just cobbled something together. It has no grip edges to hold on to when you remove it to empty - when it's full, you tip the bucket to remove, but the water level is so high, some can EASILY splash out over the top! And not even a handle to help you carry they heavy water! The lead: it's so short, maybe 5ft. Not even long enough to reach the centre of a room to be more efficient. So it remains not that far from the wall. Do your homework before purchasing a dehumidifier - I haven't looked back. You notice the lack of moisture in the air after an hour, even to the pont where the air it was throwing out was warm!!! It doesn't burn all that much energy either - DEFINITELY far less than my E rated Panasonic TV!
