Increased T-Mobile reception from 0 bars to 1-2 bars, indoors (home), in one isolated area (say, a couple of square feet). Trust me, it's great achievement. I tried different phones with no luck, and was almost ready to buy a re-transmitter (they typically cost north of $150). Caveats: 1. I first attached both pieces to the opposite sides of a window, and got no signal improvement. It was pain to remove them, I thought I'd break the windows. The 3M thing is "extra-hard" grade, which is probably permanent once it fully dries out. I used a sharp knife to carefully "spoil" 3M around the perimeter, and then applied constant pressure for a minute, so it gradually detached without breaking my window. Beware. Don't use included 3M until you're certain you've found best position. Use a simple scotch tape for experiments. Note: car windows are much stronger, I wouldn't worry about them. I'd worry about house windows. 2. It took me maybe 5 minutes to find a good spot and orientation of this thing. Turned out to be fully indoors! Attached to my monitor stand and pointing to the window at sharp angle. With all these caveats, it's still 5 stars due to the value for the price. Even if it wouldn't work for you at all, this thing has a good chance of working and considering the price of "experiments" with other equipment it's worth trying! It's kinda unfortunate to see such a low average review score for a thing that can work! (but maybe not always/not for everyone), just because of plentiful of 1 star ratings from people for whom it didn't work. If you're ready to pay significant moneys for "proper" solutions (such as buying an active re-transmitter, or changing phone provider, ...or maybe even moving?), I'd say give this passive repeater a chance.

Mobile service providers claim that this type of antenna does not work, and I have to agree with them. Installing it actually reduced my reception from 2 bars to NO bars! If you search the internet, you will find that passive antennas like this are no different than that battery compartment sticker that claimed to improve cell phone reception, block radio waves from frying your brain, etc. It doesn't work and it's a waste of money. I recommend buying a wired antenna that directly connects to your phone. If you phone doesn't have such a connection, then you may want to look into a different phone because nothing without a direct connection is going to work, and you may want to look into a phone that gets better reception (there are some -- just read the 3rd party reviews). I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone unless you just have money to burn. If so, please just send it to my PayPal account instead.

It works, it provides a small signal boost. I put it on my Semi truck Tested it in an area I don’t get signal and it got my phone working just right. Definitely going to order more for my cars could be helpful on a roadtrip.

What all can you expect for five dollars? My friend and I like to drive around and play Pokemon go, but she gets disconnected a lot. I work in remote areas, so I was looking for a way to get cell signals farther out anyway. I know some radio dudes, and they all told me there was no way this thing could actually do anything I tried this thing out, and it seemed to help... maybe... in one spot in town, but we decided it wasn't really doing anything. I mean, it wasn't hurting, so I left it on for a while, but there was no way it was actually doing anything, right? Turns out it was hurting, because the spot I put it in meant that when I tried to wash my windows, there would be a big squeegee drip going down the middle of the windshield... Time for this thing to go. I ripped it off, and pulled up the tape on both sides. Turns out there is some sort of circuit board with a lot of coiled wire on the inside one. That's... well... if you were going to make one of these so they did something, you'd need that... I picked up my friend, and we drove around to play our game. half the spots we'd found since I got this antenna suddenly didn't work for her at all, and were a lot harder for me to connect with too. I guess it was working. On the package, they note that if there is no cell service at all, this antenna will not be able to do anything, and even in areas where there is coverage, it supposedly will only add half a bar. I guess it was adding half a bar in some places around town. A lot of users got this for their homes, since it says that it can be used there too. The package I got said "For Vehicle use only." I'm not sure if ones for home use only exist or not. Antennas like this, if they can do anything, need to have their inner part and their outer part placed a specific distance apart. Auto glass tends to be a thin single pane of 1/16-1/4 inch thick. Home windows tend to be double-pane, with 1/2 to 2 inches between the panes. If you live in an old house with single pane windows, the ones for automotive use might work there.

UPDATE: While this didn't work for me with T-Mobile, I have been beta testing the Starlink DTC (Direct to Cell) service through T-Mobile and this does a great job of bringing that DTC signal into my truck. With this, I don't need to make sure my phone has a clear view of the sky as long as this antennae does. I'll give it another star Note: other user's experience may vary. This did not work for me at all. I have T-Mobile and while my phone is capable of 5G, most of the service in my area is LTE. There are 3 dead zones on my drive to and from work. Between 1-3 miles each. Placing my phone up in the windshield helps some, so I know there's signal out there. But with this antennae, there was no change. It does look cool on the truck, and it's cheap enough keep it on just as an accessory.

I was skeptical whether a passive antenna may work, but gave it a try because my office is inside a cinder brick block building that blocks both cellular tower signal and wifi signal from the access point hub that is only 50 ft away. I was getting zero bar or sometimes barely 1 bar drifting from cell tower once in awhile, and no wifi signal at all. After I put the passive antenna next to the window close to the ceiling, and my iPhone is 5 ft away from the antenna, it actually got 2-3 bars in cell signal, and 1-2 bars for wifi. I did not expect it could give such improvements, pleasantly surprised. I tried it out at home, where I do get a pretty good cell signal, 4 bars, without the antenna. I thought it would give me 5 bars with this passive antenna, but it didn't change any signal strength. So I think it works well for very weak cell signal in dead zones, and bring it up to a level where you can actually get some signal, which is better than nothing before. But don't expect to give you better signal improvement if you are already in a strong signal area. So it is a good alternative, without having to use powered antenna amplifier, which is very expensive and require wiring and power source, which is not as portable as this.

Does not work at all. No matter where I positioned the phone or where the antenna was positioned, it did not increase the strength of the signal. Yes, there was a signal, but I could only get one to one and a half bars, the antenna did not help at all. It ended up in the garbage.

I know this is meant for vehicle use, but I figured that I had nothing to lose by trying it for my home office. In my home office, I would generally get only 1 bar on my cell phone at home (if I stand across the street from my home I can get 3 bars, so I know my home is a dead zone of sorts for cell phone signal strength). And after I used a big metal binder clip and clipped both the outside and inside parts of the antenna together and placed it on the flat metal base of a metal lamp near my window, and pointed the antenna towards the window (a single-pane window), I was getting 2 bars on my cell phone. I am very happy with this purchase!

In meinem PKW ist durch einbruchsichere Scheiben kaum Handyempfang möglich. Diese Antenne soll es verbessern. Nach ersten Versuchen kann ich sagen: Bisher ist der Empfang besser. Ob es wirklich an der Antenne liegt, kann man natürlich nicht genau festlegen.

I have little or no bars in the house as even outside the house I have to stand in the garden to get a bar this little gadget I took a gamble on as it was cheap and I have it on my living room window and it catches a signal I now have to bars in the house so I would say take the gamble and see if you get a better signal . I give 5 starts as I had zero signal and im happy I got my mobile in signal
