It does the job
I don't know why some people are leaving not-so-good reviews. It was easy to assemble, even though it didn't come with instructions. I figured it out by myself, but the video in the description shows it if needed, took me less than a minute to put it together. It has adjustable height and angle, and it can hold thin to thick hoops. It's also lightweight and portable, and the material is pretty decent, nice and smooth finish. It does the job it's supposed to do and for a really low price compared to some fancy embroidery hoop stands. What else do you need it to do? Embroider for you? Just get the thing if you want to stitch on a budget ๐

How did I survive without this stand?
When needed, Iโve used a floor stand to hold my hoops. And for years that has been enough. But over time I noticed my back started to protest a bit too much after extended use. So I bought this stand which would allow me to sit in any position and easily move around so Iโm not stuck in one place. It has made a huge difference, in both comfort and embroidery. It is so easy to adjust the angle and height of the hoop. There is no need to remove to hoop to make position changes. I find myself completing projects much faster as a result. I originally decided to buy this cheaper option to see if I liked it then come back to buy a โbetterโ quality (aka more expensive) lap stand if I did. But I find I donโt need to do that. The quality is great! Sturdy, easy to assemble, easy to use, it's just overall well made. I definitely recommend this for embroidery.

No title
I got exactly the same quality of the stand as the price for it. This is a cheap thing that is not convenient to use. Slides on the surface and is not stable.

Great stand, watch the video in the listing for how to assemble
I finally got an embroidery stand after years of holding hoops in my hand because I was starting to experience some joint pain. I took a chance on this one because of the good reviews. It's a shockingly nice stand for its price point. The wood is sanded and varnished. You can easily adjust the clamp to hold hoops of various thicknesses, as well as the height of the stand and the angle at which it holds the hoop. My only concern is that there are two places where the ends of wood and metal screws directly touch other wooden parts of the stand, so it would be easy to cause damage by over-tightening. But I imagine it'll be fine as long as one tightens by hand and stops as soon as there's any resistance. Tip: watch the video in the listing for how to assemble the stand. There aren't many pieces, so it only takes a minute once you see where everything goes, but the stand shipped disassembled with no instructions, and I couldn't quite figure it out on my own.

No assembly instructions. You have to Google it unless you're good at figuring it out
Once I get the hoop secured correctly it is great. The screw on top is important to adjusting the tension on the clamp. I'm having a little trouble getting that just right. If it's not correctly set,the hoop is not secure. A bit of instruction with that would have been helpful.

Seems sturdy, good price, easy to assemble.
Very to assemble and despite comments in other reviews, mine did come with instructions, though the product video walks you through it pretty easily as well. This is my second product like this and it seems sturdy and actually better constructed than my previous one.

Dissatisfied
Would not recommend. It does not stay tight. You are constantly having to re-tighten the knobs about every 10 stitches. Quality is good, but as I say, it does not stay tight very annoying and time-consuming.

Great gift for an embroider
Bought this as a gift for our elderly neighbor who had trouble continuing one of her favorite hobbies, but could no longer hold the embroidery loom more than 5 minutes. She told me she worked for 5 hours on it the other day with her new loom holder! It works really well and is simple enough for her to figure out. I just mentioned you tuck it under your leg to hold it still and it works great.

Works ok, no instructions, daft picture on box
This works fine, with hindsight I should maybe have spent a bit more and got something a little sturdier as I do find my hoop slips out occasionally, but honestly that might be my handling. It came in a box with a picture of cute embroidered animals humping each other, so keep that in mind if you're gifting. Shipped direct from China, and arrived without assembly instructions.
