'Mama's baby...Daddy's maybe...'
Aaliyah Mills Carter is royalty in any visible eye. Her parental lineage was structured through the grit and grime, but through struggle...volatile, manipulative but street savvy has she been blessed to have been born with the very best of everything. Aaliyah's mother is the renowned Precious Cummings, a woman that has risen from the pits of hell. Precious established that the word BITCH is a lifestyle...she has re-classified the negative word and epitomized it so that shame and humiliation does not have to be associated with this infamous word!! So what does this mean for her princess, that has had everything her little heart could ask for...even as far as having two wealthy fathers that adore her very footsteps! You would think with the world as her foot stool, she'd find nothing but fairytales...and that's where the story ends. NOT!! Surrounded by best friends, Amir and Justina, also privileged children, these three struggle with trying to find themselves, amidst their parents history while battling feelings with and for each other.Deja has continued the Precious saga with her offspring. She enlightens us with answers to questions posed to her about life after being The Last Bitch Standing. She spins an entertaining web with the babes of the `bosses' in the game and their challenges. Even though `boss' blood flows through their veins, can they...are they...built to play the game as their predecessors? Will they choose the legit path that their parents have fought to enable them to have? Right or wrong...left or right...good or bad? These are questions that they have to search within themselves to find the answers...Mama can't do it for you...Daddy can't...only they have the power to decide which road to follow. This was an interesting read, although a bit juvenile as would be expected when the main topic is children. Consistent storyline with Deja's vivacious flair equals an enchanting tale! 4.25

A mediocre read!
I am a huge supporter of Deja King and all of her novels especially the Bitch series...Yet I also felt that this series should have ended a long time ago and that Aaliyah really didnt need to have her own spin-off story...I mean for what? She's rich and doesnt want for anything, unlike Precious who came from nothing and had to do what she had to do to survive..so her actions were justified. Aaliyah on the other hand just did things just to be doing it or to rebel against her mother.I felt no connection to Aaliyah at all.On another note the beginning and middle of the story was very dry and lacked little to no excitment...The story line flashed back and forth between the past and present for the majority of the book and sometimes made it confusing to tell wether Amir was speaking or Aaliyah. The story stayed on one level all the way till the end and by the time it got some kind of reaction out of me the story was ending.I must say that I am not surprised by what Justina did at the end...I saw that coming a mile away.Very predictable.I actually felt bad for Justina. As for Amir...I think he got himself in quite a bind.I also felt his relationship with his father was quite strange, they didnt seem close at all.Basically all the characters seemed a bit off.I also had no idea who Lorenzo or Dior was. But I found out they are the characters from Rich or Famous which I havent read yet. So now I have to read that book asap since their storyline is now tied into this new series.I'm telling you right now...It is best to read all of these books in the correct order to get a clear understanding on whats going on here. If not..you will be completely lost and confused. Don't let anyone tell you differently!I felt like this was a mediocre story which was missing that spark that Im used to from Deja King..it read more like a mystery than anything and nothing got resolved. It ended with a cliffhanger just to leave you anxious for the next book in this series. But as much as I love me some Deja King, this book completely missed the mark.

A Little Bit Of Both
Let me start off with I'm a hug fan of Deja King. I read all her books and thought how many authors can write 4 different series. then end them all in one book. I was very impressed with that. So now there's a New Bitch Series. Keeping it 100 I couldnt wait for the book to come. The way the last booked ended with Ailaya in jail. I just knew the next book was going to bring it. But like someone mention in another review we was still left with the same question WHO PUT HER IN JAIL AND WHY??? Dont get me wrong the book was good, I actually liked how they went back to the past because it showed what the kids been doing. Could the book been longer YES, could she have probably told us a little bit more YES. Was I pissed the way it ended YES. but I also understand thats how some authors do. Leave you wanting more so you can't wait until the next book. and I understand hey they have to make their money. so i'm not going to fault her for that. JDK you a good writer, keep doing you. could you make your book longer and not have so many series YES...smile...However it doesnt matter cause I'm read them anyways....lol...Hey just being honest...Then here's another thing. when I read a good book I love to pass it on. I tell anyone who listen about JDK books. But some feel it hard for them to follow the whole story because its so many books and characters involved. and I see she doing it again. with the new Bitch series and Rick or Famous.
