EVE LOM The Original Balm Cleanser - Facial Cleansing Balm - 5-in-1 Facial Cleanser & Muslin Cloth - Deep Cleansing & Gentle Exfoliation, Hydrating Skin Benefits, Removes Waterproof Make-Up

I have purchased this item 5 or 6 times. I am wintering in Arizona and it is saving my skin from the dry desert climate. I recently had a facial and was told how soft my skin was. I enjoy very much and yes, its expensive, but I haven't found anything that equals it. There is not a strong scent to the product and my skin loves it.

I first purchased the Eve Lom original balm cleanser from GMA deals and steals. I liked it so well, I came to Amazon to purchase again and subscribed to it, as well. I highly recommend it. It is a lovely balm with a bit of exfoliant. I (most nights) follow the accompanying instructions and use the included muslin cloth to steam my face first, then wipe off my makeup, rinse, and then cool my face with the cloth. It takes only a small amount, like the size of a quarter, so it lasts a very long time. Afterward, my aging (67) skin is soft, glowing, and clean. I don’t want to “strip” my face, but I want my face to be really clean at night, after a long day of makeup. Then it is prepped and ready for overnight serums and moisturizers. By subscribing during Amazon Prime special days, I saved $45/per jar, bringing it down to about $100. I am still using the jar that I opened at the beginning of July, and it is half full. So, I have used about 1/2 jar in 2.5 months. While it might work for mascara and eyeliner, I do not use it on my eyes because of the exfoliant grains. I use a liquid eye makeup remover with a cotton pad for my eye area before I apply the cleansing balm. Then, when I am wiping my face with the warm muslin cloth, I carefully wipe around my eyes to make sure they are clean. (I have been prone to stys in the past, and it is important to get my lashes clean.) I have also tried cleansing balms from Clinique, Neutrogena, and Elemis. I love the Elemis balm cleanser, but prefer the Eve Lom because of the bit of exfoliant and the way my skin feels afterwards. I am worth it!

I first received a sample of this facial cleanser from a department store. The sample came with a muslin towel. I used the product and the towel as instructed. The product thoroughly cleansed and gently exfoliated my skin. Afterward, my skin felt soft and hydrated and had a healthy glow. I waited until the cleanser went on sale for Black Friday and purchased the 200ml size. The jar of cleanser turned out to be larger than I expected, and with the small amount of product needed for cleansing, I think the jar will last a long time. And, I am happy about that.

I LOVE IT IN EVERY ASPECT, except it is more expensive than other similar cleansers, such as Bobbi Brown and Shu umuera. First, I have to admit that I am very picky when I choose a cleanser as I have sensitive and combination skin. I like something that does not irritate my skin and at the same time remove my make up (I usually put on BB cream, mineral powder, blush, eyeliner, eye shadow and mascara) COMPLETELY. This cleanser with its cloth do it perfectly. My skin feels nourished and cleaned after using it. It does not dry out my skin and my skin feels supple. It creates NO IRRITATION OR REDNESS on my skin. No allergic reaction the next day. Thank you. I simply clean my cloth after I clean my face with a castile soap bar and it looks clean. SMELL: I like the smell. It is not as strong as I thought. EASE OF APPLICATION: Easy to apply. I like to massage my face with it. You cannot massage your face with other cleansing oil, like shu umuera. If money is not a problem for you, I would strongly recommend it for daily use. Compare to Bobbi Brown, Eve lom cleans better. No make up residue left on face.

I love this product and have used it for years now. It’s part of my nightly routine when I’ve been wearing makeup all day. Its scent is very herbal and makes me feel like I’m in a fancy spa. I remove my eye makeup with micellar water, just out of habit, but this product would also remove the toughest mascara, I’m sure. After removing my eye makeup, I swirl about a teaspoon of this product out of the container and massage it all over my face. It feels and smells wonderful. After a minute or two (depending on how rushed I feel) I run very wam water all over the provided muslin cloth, and use it to remove the product all the rest of my makeup. I rinse the cloth a couple of times to get the last bits off, especially around my hairline. The muslin cloth acts like a gentle exfoliator and always rinses clean. The large Eve Lom comes with two cloths. At first, I was worried that the cloths would get stained and gross, but they really do rinse clean. I hang it to dry after each use. All together, it’s a wonderful product and makes me feel special and pampered whenever I use it.

I LOVE this product! Eve Lom balm cleanser does an excellent job removing all traces of my foundation and blush. I wear long lasting versions of makeup that don't rub off easily. My old cleanser didn't do a great job on the newer technology of foundation. This balm cleanser gets it off. It only takes a small amount so the jar should last a long time. I like the scent and the way it feels upon application. It's a luxurious experience. I had tried a sample size of this cleanser and fell in love with it so I bought the regular size jar. I refilled the sample size tub from this so I could pack it in my TSA bag without taking up much space. I'm in love with this cleanser and will continue to purchase it.

I need to preface this by stating I don't have problem skin, however I was curious to see how this product would stack up after reading tons of reviews on how your skin "glows" if used correctly. I get the occasional blemish here and there, but I really wanted to see if Eve Lom would live up to the hype of giving that radiant appearance. I have to say I am VERY impressed! I have been using it for about 2 weeks now. I use it in the morning and evening, as I tend to be on the oily skin side and that was recommended. After each use my skin feels soft and supple (never tight or dry!). I love the muslin cloth, it's very gentle and the makeup washed right off! The one thing I didn't like was the smell...but it's easy to get past for beautiful skin. Make sure you follow the directions of how to use the product to get the most out of it. Also keep in mind, a little goes a long way, so the $75 price tag is bit shocking, but this should last for months to come. AND you no longer need to spend extra $$ on toner and all that other skin stuff because this does it all....so in reality you would end of spending just as much, if not more on skin products. I just apply a light sunscreen in the morning after I wash, but that's all you need! After 2 weeks I can already see a huge difference in the tone of my skin. It really does give you a glowing, radiant appearance. Also, I had a few small blemishes (god I hate pms!) and they were gone within a couple days and haven't had any since. I was a little worried the Vaseline like texture and that it would make my skin more oily, but actually it did the opposite. Can't wait to see what my skin will look like in the next few weeks as this has already had a pretty quick effect. If you have tried everything out there, you must give Eve Lom a whirl! You won't be disappointed!

I’ve tried a lot of cleansing balms because I love a good double cleanse. This balm was rated highly on a few beauty review sites and I was out of my holy grail balm from Elemis. The balm came with a muslin cloth with specific instructions on how to use it. I’m a skin care junkie and this step was not only unnecessary but pointless. The first thing I noticed upon unpacking the balm was the extremely strong smell. I enjoy a nice fragrance especially a spa type smell but this was wretched. The smell was so strong and herbal that I almost didn’t even want to put it on my face. I needed to try the balm in order to see if I could get past the smell and in this regard I was also disappointed. The cleansing in this cleansing balm was lackluster and there was still quite a bit of dirt on my washcloth after rinsing this off. Needless to say I did not use the rest of this balm and disposed of it. Going back to purchasing the Elemis cleansing balm I’ve loved for years.
