I never brush it and only comb it with a comb once in a while. Usually running my fingers through does the trick. I've been using a Paul Mitchell comb for close to 20 years now and wanted something different. Out of its little carrying bag this buffalo horn "moon" comb looked like it was too fine toothed for my hair, but it outperformed my super-widetoothed Paul Mitchell comb. The nature of the horn makes it slide through my hair without snagging or tugging. As dry as our house is currently, there was absolutely no static from the comb. It did not dig into my scalp and the sandalwood top fit neatly in my hand. For the price, this is a great comb if you are particular about your grooming tools.
