blinc Original Tubing Mascara, Natural Look & Lengthening, Dark Brown

I was pleasantly surprised by this mascara. I purchased it based on the recommendation of a friend and I'm glad I spent extra for BLINC. I have had no issues with the liquid splattering out like some users mentioned. When I asked my friend if she'd ever experienced this she said she had not either. The way everybody describes "tubes" on your lashes did NOT match what I envisioned. I thought this hard little tubes would literally slide off your lashes that you could hold and examine. This is not at all the case. To remove the mascara, you only use warm water and gently rub your lashes. This causes the mascara tubes to get wet and soft turning it a bit like slimy feathers that just clump together and come right off in one good rub of the eyelashes. You just dump them down the drain (I hope it's OK for my drain!), but maybe they should be dumped into the trash bin? I don't know. There is ZERO residue after removing the mascara. ZERO chance of having raccoon eyes later. It truly is amazing. I do have to say, however, that some tiny "shreds" can still end up on your upper cheeks after a long day, especially if you're an eye rubber, like me. It doesn't make raccoon eyes, but some flakes can still end up on your face, which took me by surprise as I didn't see any other reviewers mention that. Pro Tip: apply one coat of mascara to entire set of lashes (you can even do lower lashes with this mascara!). Wait 30 seconds and take a dry cotton swab (Q-tip) and rub off any mascara that you accidentally got onto your skin (I usually manage to get mascara onto my lids whenever I apply it). No need to wet it or reapply eyeshadow after wiping off excess mascara with a Q-tip. It wipes right off without any smudging. Second Pro Tip: don't use eye makeup remover. It's completely unnecessary and you'll still have to use the warm water technique afterwards anyway. It's so easy to remove, but amazingly stays on when you don't want it to come off! While you only get one type of lashes - your own, but slightly thicker and longer - this is good enough for me. If you're expecting feathered lashes or whatever crazy style of eyelashes other mascara brands promise, you won't get that with BLINC. BLINC simply takes your own lashes and makes them appear longer, thicker, darker. No other crazy promises. All mascara should be made this way. I cannot recommend this mascara highly enough.

*This is a review of what was shipped to me, NOT of the product itself* I've been using this mascara since it was first called Kiss Me and imported from Japan, so for over 15 years. It's the only mascara I use. I certainly know all of the versions/packaging/appearances that have come out over the years. The CURRENT version should be a tube that is sealed full length with the perforations to peel and open. This sealed tube arrives inside a screw top aluminum cylinder. What I received was an unsealed tube in a small, worn, bent up cardboard box instead of the aluminum tube. Blinc has not distributed the mascara in the box in YEARS. For a second I thought maybe they were going back to the box, but I inspected the mascara itself (unsealed) and I believe not only was it old but that it had been used. The formula smelled funny and was watery. Back to Amazon it goes. I included a note in the packaging about this so it doesn't get thrown on a shelf and mailed out to someone else. I can't imagine where this old tube was hiding for them to pull it out, but the appearance alone of cruddy packaging should have been noticed before it was shipped out. As far as the REAL mascara goes... still love it. I'm not one to try and build up tarantula legs on my face, not sure this product will do that, but I have medium-long natural lashes and a couple quick swipes does the job. I don't have to touch my eyes for the rest of the day, removing it is as cinchy as they claim, and no racoon eyes or dusty little bits flaking off. From now on I'm going to go back and purchase from Blinc's own site. If someone not familiar with the product had received what I did they would have thought it was garbage, and rightly so. Additionally there is a high risk of infection when using old eye makeup. I'll wait the extra shipping time to be sure I get what I am paying for.

I searched for a long time to find a mascara that did not give me dark smudges under my eyes by the end of the day and was easy to remove. I developed allergic reactions to the various mascaras I tried as well as the products I used in my attempts to remove them, and I had developed persistent dark circles under my eyes from their residues. I was so relieved and happy to finally find this product! I have never had an allergic reaction to it. It is waterproof in the cold water of a swimming pool, but comes off easily with nothing but warm water. It can be a bit tricky to apply though. Sometimes when I apply it, I will get a smudge or two, but they are super easy to remove with a Q-tip dipped in water. Sometimes after I apply it, some of my top and bottom lashes will stick together, but I keep a toothpick handy to separate them. The lack of smudges and easy removal are so worth these minor inconveniences. I have been using the original formula for years. It used to come in lots of pretty different colors. I used to use the purple. Now all I can find is black, but it seems to suit me better anyway now that my hair is white.

I easily get a raccoon effect from my eye makeup, specifically my left eye, simply due to my own body’s mechanics (I can’t blame the products I use). I love Blinc because there is zero chance of it smudging down below my eye! I think it’s a bit hard to apply only when the tube is super new and fresh as I feel like it’s easy to get on my lid. It is a very wet product and easily gets messy when applying to top lashes. (I like it better when it’s about a month old and has dried in the tube a little bit and is less messy.) But after it is applied and dried (a few minutes) it is fabulous! Just takes some practice. No smudging, long lasting, great product! It is easily rinsed off with warm water and soap (or warm water alone), just have to get them a bit wet and lightly rub. When it comes off it is a little goopy and I think in time it can slightly clog my drain. If you make an error applying and get some on your lid, you either need to act immediately to try to get it off with a q-tip, or wait until it’s fully dry and try to rub off with a q-tip, there is no in-between compromise. You will be rubbing off some eye shadow to fix errors. But for me, it’s worth it! I really like this product.

Blinc is my favorite mascara. I've been using it for a couple of years, but bought it this time on Amazon because the price was cheaper than Sephora or Ulta. The formula I received was fresh, not expired or clumpy. The "tubes" are so easy to get off with water and gentle pressure. The best part is the mascara will not run when you're sweating/working out, or crying (unless you're rubbing your eyes a lot while you're crying - i.e. water & pressure). Swimming does make the tubes come off, especially if you just applied it less than an hour before swimming. I'm not sure if letting the mascara dry longer would solve the problem, but I just don't wear mascara anymore if I plan on going swimming. I think part of the problem is when you come up from under water, it's instinct to rub your eyes so the water doesn't get in, thus applying pressure. If you haven't used "tube" mascara before, it may take some getting used to. It feels different, more liquidy, when applying, so I've heard friends who say it makes their lashes stick together more. Also, if you wait more than about a minute after the first coat, you won't be able to apply a second coat. The wand won't move, the wet mascara just sticks the wand to the dried mascara. If you want thicker lashes, make sure to apply the second coat immediately after you apply the first. Makeup remover doesn't work at all, so if you also wear eye shadow/liner, you'll be surprised when you try and take it all off with eye makeup remover. Normally, I use water first to take the mascara off, then use eye makeup remover the take off the eye shadow. The tube itself lasts a while, I suppose as long as regular mascara. You will notice when it starts to get dried out, because it's not as "pressure-proof" without water. Like if you rub your eyes, some might flake off, but still not as bad as regular mascara.

I do really love the concept of this mascara, but I've found that I have to use a waterproof mascara to make it stay and not hurt my eyes. I have pretty sensitive eyes/skin and if I don't use the waterproof coat on top, it makes my eyes burn like a bitch, and I end up with the little tubes scattered under my eyes maybe an hour later. I wish that it gave more length, but I especially wish it gave more volume. Don't get me wrong, I really do like this mascara, I was just disappointed after how much I paid. Now that I have my application process down (eyelash primer, blinc, and a clear waterproof mascara on top) it looks and stays great. Also, I really enjoy taking it off!

This Mascara is AMAZING. I have tried many different mascaras over the years since I tend to have a big problem with smudging under my eyes throughout the day and the fact that I was a competitive swimmer and always in the pool. I could never find a happy medium, regular mascara would smear under my eyes throughout the day and would run all down my face during swim practice. Waterproof was too hard to remove and I found it actually made my eyelashes fall out and become thinner over time.( I later learned from a makeup artists that this is because it smothers your eyelashes and when you rub hard to remove the mascara you are actually pulling your eyelashes out.)I had tried all different brands, from expensive designer mascaras at Sephora like Dior and Bobbi Brown to Drug store brands like Maybelline and NOTHING worked. Until I found Blinc. Blinc is basically a happy medium between waterproof and regular mascara. You get the all day stay in place wear like waterproof mascara but you also get the easy clean removal like regular masacara. Where Blinc is better than any other mascara is that when you remove it it does not come off in the same form as when you put it on. It comes off in tubes. yes tubes. It will freak you out the first time you take it off because you will feel like your eyelashes fell out. Instead of having smudgy mascara all over my sink and face after I washed my face at night I had nothing left. I literally threw away all my eye makeup remover because I had no need for it anymore! I have also noticed that since I begun wearing this mascara about 8 months ago my eye lashes have thickened and lengthened. I think this is because once you paint on the mascara it hardens and forms a tube around each eyelash instead of smothering it which allows your eyelashes to continue to breathe and grow throughout the day as if you were not even wearing mascara! The only down side that I can find about this product is that it is very wet when you first apply so you might have to wait a few extra seconds before opening your eyes very wide so that you do not get black marks on your eyelids. I highly recommend this product. Since starting to use it 8 months ago I have bought it again and all of their eyeliners. I have also turned 4 of my friends and family members onto it and they all swear by it now also!

I used this mascara for years and it was always my favorite. As circumstances changed I had to go with a less expensive option, but saw the price was reduced for a while and decided to splurge. First, I was sent the wrong item - received lash primer instead of mascara. The return and replacement was handled well. But I have been extremely disappointed with this current product. Application is blotchy and clumpy, does not add length, dries slowly and upper and lower lashes will stick if you blink before drying. Removal is easy - that hasn't changed - but this formula is more trouble than it is worth and looks terrible - I threw it away. Perhaps I just got an old/faulty version, but I'm not willing to spend $26 to try again.

Es muy pegajoso, baja las pestañas, las deja blancas y horribles, pensé que con una segunda capa como dicen los vídeos mejoraría pero solo empeoro, hace q se vean tres pestañas empalmadas, escasa y sucias y al retirarlo aunque no es difícil con agua si se te caen pestañas

It really works! Maybe you’ll have a few little flakes under your eyes on day 2 but so much easier to deal with than regular smudgy mascara. Super easy to wash off in the shower, again way easier than regular mascara because you don’t have smudge you need to scrub off. I routinely wear this for 2 full days when I don’t have time to shower and it’s such a time-saver, I love it. You can’t put multiple coats on after it dries, so I guess if you want really thick dramatic mascara this won’t be for you, but if you want something easy you don’t have to think about this stuff is great. I’ll never go back to regular mascara.

Brilliant best mascara I have found.

Prodotto fantastico, specialmente per chi ha occhi delicati o problematici, non cola, è resistente una volta asciutto lascia le ciglia come all interno di un tubicino e si strucca solo con acqua inumidendo le ciglia si sfila facilmente. Mi è capitato di utilizzarlo anche al mare e da bagnato non lo sfili si riasciuga e rimane li. Ottimo prodotto per chi ha occhi delicati.
