Heartland Antlers Elk Antler Dog Chew, Large 7 in, 45-65 lb Dogs

Best for bully breeds. Chews for hours, no pieces falling off. Too busy to chew furmiture. Can damage hardwood floors if the dog presses on it or drags & drops on the floor. But then I have a dog, his nails do that anyway. Definitely take away from dog when it becomes to small - can fit the whole bone in his mouth. I always have a back-up one when I need to take the used one away.

Our heavy chewer loves this antler. He's been working it hard for 3 months and it is about time to replace it. Very impressed with the size and quality. Highly recommend! Update: Our Pit/Husky rescue is nearing 2 years old now. He is on his 3rd antler this year and is finally slowing down on his need to chew so I think this one should last at least 6 months. He used to spend hours chewing it every day and now he seems to work at it for an hour or so a couple times a week. The second one had a tendency to develop sharp edges that I needed to grind off since his gums would bleed some. Once he was a 3rd of the way through it stopped being a problem and the other two have not done this. Please remember, this is a natural product - there are going to be variations - blame the elk! I remain very happy with this product!

This is the first chew toy our huge Labrador - Great Dane mix still loves to chew on and hasn't been able to destroy! We bought the largest Heartland antler available for him in August 2023 has and chews heavily on it daily. )He normally goes through 'long-chew' and 'heavy-chewer' toys and treats, literally, in a matter of minutes. Kong toys have stood up to his teeth, but he loses interest in them.) The shape of the antler causes it to move about while our dog is chewing or playing with it. It makes the toy more interesting and keeps his attention. This antler was the best investment I've made for our dog in a while! The only downside is that, if you have hardwood or tile floors, the antler makes a racket when Trooper drops it on the floor. Hasn't damaged the floor, just makes a lot of noise.

Highly recommend! My 100 lb German Shepard loves it, it's extremely durable, and the perfect size.. I will be buying another if and when needed.

I was happily surprised by the size of this antler! I ordered the large, which indicates it's between 7-9 inches. This one was over 7.5 inches, (my pup had already gnawed on it for about 30 min when I took the photos), and was also a nice thickness. I have a 67 lb. boarder collie / shepherd mix, and he LOVES his antlers! I found this one when looking for a replacement, and am extremely pleased with the quality of this elk antler. And my pup was extremely pleased as well. He's a good chewer, looking for his antler whenever he needs something to do, and this one will last him at least 6 months. Very happy with this purchase!

My dogs LOVE these antlers. They are very high quality and my dogs would go nuts whenever we would open the package. We ordered these several times and were never disappointed with the size or quality. My only caution is this: my 10 year-old dog broke 2 teeth chewing on these and had to have them surgically removed. THIS IS NO FAULT OF THE PRODUCT!! Just a suggestion to keep an eye on your pups and make sure they aren’t damaging their teeth. Again, this is not the product’s fault - just dogs being dogs loving the antlers too much!

Incredible for an aggressive chewer

I have purchased this type of chew for my dog before from the local pet store. I am able to pick and choose which one I want. That is the best part of brick and mortar. Fast forward to buying these online which is the first time I have done this and mainly to save a little bit of money. I have attached a picture of the antlers I received. I purchased 2 of them and I showed one of the packages to illustrate the brand and what you get. I also included the tape measure to show length. My issue is the picture that they show on their ad is that of a stick with the ends trimmed. This is exactly what I buy at the store and for a good reason. I don't have to worry about the narrow thin ends that can be easier to break off and cause a choking hazard. Also if the antler is nice and thick, this helps prevent the dog from accidentally ingesting it. My dog would also find it difficult to break in half. The list goes on and on as to why I specifically was looking to buy a product as pictured. What I received is longer than 5" to 6" which is good but it is thin as can be. If I start from the thinnest part and work my way up to the thick part, I am well over 3/4 the way up to get to a 1 inch thickness. What I normally buy is about 1.25 inch in diameter and about 6 inches thick throughout which is more in line with what is pictured. I gave one to my dog to see how she handles it. She immediately positioned it with the narrow end in her mouth. If I give her enough time, I am sure she will break the tip off which is only 1/4 inch thick and possibly choke on it. I don't think I will buy this type of chew toy online again. You never know what you will get so its best to just go to the store where you know exactly what you are buying since each unit is different.

I have two very high stimuli needing doggos. Both love these and will actually sit and chew for an incredibly peaceful hour. One of my babes is a pitty that breaks apart and eats everything I give him but this has been going strong for a couple weeks now.

This product was so small it was a choking hazard for my large breed. It also came off in shards and was very sharp. I reordered with another seller that I normally deal with because it’s twice as big both around and length. I was beyond mad when I received this item. It hurts me to leave this review as it’s veteran owned but the product is terrible and for $4 more I get a better product from another seller. You can see the difference in the videos. It’s actually bordering on criminal. They also do not do returns!!!!!

Size was good but for some reason my dog didn't like it and she generally loves antlers

I ordered the LARGE, and what arrived was the size of my middle finger and my dog isn’t able to chew this as it is way too small for him and a choking hazard. Quality of the antler is fine, but definitely not correct sizing.

I'm honestly not impressed. Paying 35 for some tiny, barely 6 inch piece of antler that my border collie chewed to a sharp, serrated edge within a day. A terrible product, insanely small, and a waste of money.
