NOW Foods, Xylitol, Sugar Substitute, Keto-Friendly, 2.5 lbs

One of the first things I did for health after discovering my husband is pre-diabetic was ordering this xylitol. I've used it in the past so was already familiar with the brand and product so went straight to what I already know and trust. I feel like the price is good for the amount in the package so am happy with my choice.This xylitol lets my husband enjoy an occasional sweet without causing his blood sugar to spike. I even carry a small container in my bag so he can order unsweetened tea and add xylitol to it to enjoy his drinks more when we eat out. And it works equally good with foods as well as drinks. Just keep in mind that, although the texture is the same as granulated sugar and it works well as a substute for sugar in recipes, it isn't quite as sweet so use extra to taste. And, speaking of taste, it has a good, clean sweetness with no aftertaste like stevia has.I will continue to purchase this Now pure xylitol to keep on hand.

Great price. Xylitol tastes exactly like sugar with no aftertaste or glucose spike. I didn’t realize xylitol could be made from corn instead of birch bark with the same chemical makeup. Much more environmentally conscious way to use corn cobs vs rarer birch bark.

For those avoiding sugar, xylitol is the best alternative I've found with minimal aftertaste. And it's a great value when buying in bulk! Love this stuff.

Great price! I don't use this as a sweeter. I brush my teeth with it and put in my mouth wash. Great for a dry mouth and it kills bacteria. It's a lot cheaper to make your own, instead of buying products with Xylitol in it.

Now foods xylitol, not sure if it's the same company as the Now supplements, but i do like this product. It's made from non-gmo corn, so i minused 1 star as i thought it was birch and paid the price for what i thought was a birch product. Corn should be cheaper as it's probably sourced from china. But anyways, i use it for making my own nasal rinse. If you use antihistimines or steroidal sprays in the nose constantly, you should try a nasal rinse. It's easy to make, basically this and sodium bicarbonate which i found on here (duda energy) 99.9% pure, and some sea salt, i just use kosher salt and make my own blend with luke warm water. It works great and it does help lessen the tissue swelling and helps me breath easier. Anyways, this natural rinse is better for your nose in the long run, it will not cause damage like the steroid/antihistine sprays over time. This zylitol desolved easily as well so it worked well for me. So maybe corn xylitol would be more of a concern if i was eating it, but as a rinse maybe corn is fine? It seems to work for me, so i'd still recommend it.

I was so apprehensive about getting this brands. I normally buy a different brand that’s three times the price. But this is amazingly delicious and it does really well in jam.

そのまま舐めると甘くて冷んやりとして不思議な感じです。上白糖よりは甘みが薄いのですが、クセや特有の匂いなどは全く無く、そのまま砂糖の代わりに使用できます。また食後に、だんだんと口の中がネバネバしてきたり、歯がザラつくことがありますが、キシリトールは口内の菌が分解できず、働きを阻害するため虫歯予防にもなり、舐めるだけでもスッキリします。なので自分はコーヒーに砂糖の代わりに入れています。(風味には全く変化は無く、飲むと口の中がサラサラしたままの状態をキープできるのでかなり快適です。)化学薬品のような名前ですが、天然由来100%なのも安心です。摂取してもすぐに血糖値が上がらないなど、砂糖の代わりに使うメリットは多いのですが、値段が若干高いのでコーヒーにチマチマ入れるだけになりそうです。ティースプーン2杯で3g程度なので、コーヒー150杯分くらいと考えればそこそこ持ちます。何よりも口の中がネバネバしない事が快適なので、なくなったらリピートします。
