Q: The time and speed adjustments seem to require a small Phillips screwdriver, but don’t appear to have a stop - meaning I can rotate them more than 360

There is something wrong if the speed and time dial can be rotated 360 degree, the range should be 180 degree at most. Please ensure the small Phillips screwdriver is small enough to insert into the dial to rotate. If problem persists, please kindly contact manufacturer at sales@kazeappliance.com

Q: Can the se90tm be set to turn on by motion only and then shut off after the time delay runs out? that means no wall switch wired hot all the time.

The KAZE SE90TM motion sensing bathroom fan is designed to start running at low speed upon powering on wall switch. When motion is detected, fan will boost up to 90-cfm and back to low speed after the time delay runs out. A wall switch is required to turn on/off the unit.

Q: Is there a backdraft Damper on the unit?

Yes, the SE90TM comes with 4 and 6 inch duct adapter and both with backdraft damper

Q: What would be the sound level (sones) if i used a duct connector that reduces the duct size from 6 to 3 inches?

Good question. We are sorry that we don't have sones data from testing lab for using 3 inch duct. Reducing 6 inch duct to 3 inch sounds like only reducing half but the actual throughput reduced is 4 times. Moreover, the longer the duct and more turns also reduce the throughput thus increase noise level (sones).

Excellent Exhaust Fan

Easy install, quiet & efficient. The pull down cover adjust is flimsy & doesn't hold the cover tightly or close to the tile It maybe a problem after being pulled up & down for cleaning. Check your clearance in a suspended install, too.
