I love all styles of chili. This Cincinnati chili mix is excellent. Flavorful, warm, not spicy. First time I used it I followed package instructions. A bit watery for me. Next time I tweaked it and it was so good. I used 1lb beef, 6oz can tomato paste (calls for 3oz but I put whole 6oz can in), 3.5 cups water instead of 4, and one 15.5oz can kidney beans (yes not traditional, I know but I wanted more bulk and thicker chili). I poured off liquid from top of can did not rinse beans. Brought to a boil than simmered on low for 2 hours lid off. It reduced down, flavors intensified, thickened up nicely. So good! I like this better that the blue packet brand supposed to be like skyline (less sodium in this one).

Living in another State, I can only order online. Miss this from where I use to live. Still great flavor for spaghetti, other noodles, or hot dogs. Quality is fantastic. Cooks up easily. Worth the money. Very nice blend, not salty, etc.

Best chili seasoning. Makes me feel close to home. Flavor is just like I pulled up to gold star to get my own.

Stronger than the blue-labeled Cincinnati Style Chili. When I made it per package instructions, the seasoning was too strong. I will adjust for future batches, either using less seasoning or more meat. Still pretty authentic!

This is the Greek cinnamon base chili recipe not the Texas burn your mouth with spice chili. Those complaining of no or low taste don't get it or are use to the Texas "hit you with a 2x4 taste". Almost the same recipe as the orig Empress chili parlor of old. I do add beans for the extra fiber and protein but the key is to slow cook the meat and beans over 4-5 hours in a crock pot then the seasoning really blossoms into the meat..."ready in 20 min" isn't CINN chili it's nasty! cook it all day slow heat and see if this isn't great!

I introduced family to Cincinnati style chili over the holiday. It was a mega hit! This seasoning pack makes it easy to prepare. Just need 1 lb of ground beef and a 4-6oz can of tomato paste. Easy to prepare. When I was cooking it everyone said it smelled good... We all could hardly wait to eat it! So delicious! This is going to be a repeat buy.

If you like cinci chili then get it. I grew up with it. Expiration date is fine.
