I do not have to wait until after these are delivered to review them because I;ve been using this brand in all sizes for years./They are high quality well made very strong and durable/ Sewing with them is easy stitching runs smoothly without snagging. They are also nice and sharp do not dull bend or break easily like low quality needles I've tried throught the years that dull bend or break after 3 or 4 uses. This company has an excellent selection of universal needles that can be used on many different brands of sewing machines which is not only a great perk but also eliminates the need to have to try and find the same brand as your sewing machine needles which I personally find to be a total pain( 1 ) Heavy duty- These needles do an excellent job of sewing denim etc with ease the stitches look great and even( 2 ) Light weight- The finer ones I find are great for light weight jobs like thin nylon silk etc. With single needles I suggest one thing for biginners for any kind of material that frays easily on a number 2 or 3 setting use a zigzag stitch on the edges before stitching pieces together or else the cloth will keep fraying up into the seam causing breaks and separations in your seams. Also if you want you can sew the seams first then keeping the edges together use the zigzag stitch on the edges I do it especially when making nighties or lingerie with thin cloth, this also binds and reinforces the seams( 3 ) Medium weightt- I make. most of my own curtains and hese are excelling for the task

Exceeded my expectations. These needles are like magic wands for my sewing machine! Whether I'm working with delicate fabrics or thick layers, they handle every stitch with precision and ease.

Using two (or three!) needles is going to get about as close to a coverstitch as you can get with a traditional sewing machine. These work great for piecing together fabrics, but I got a special pair that is set very far apart (4+mm) for hemming and finishing the edge of the turned-in fabric with a single stitch (don't let my dizzying array of special terms confuse you! LOL ).One word of caution: be careful how you arrange the two required thread spools. My machine is a low-end Brother that doesn't include a second spindle. Not to be deterred, I just wound up two bobbins and stuck them on the one spindle. That works great right up until it doesn't. When it doesn't, it'll jam up and break one of your needles. [ Note that the individual needles are NOT replaceable. That's what I deducted the one star for. It would be better if these were generic needle holders and you could supply your own needles. ]The problem is that if you're not super-smooth on the pedal, all that starting and stopping you do will jerk the spools and cause extra thread to unravel from the bobbins which can get caught in between or under them and wrap around the spindle. No good comes from this.Still not content to give in and buy my way out of this, I fashioned little cones about 1/8" deep (not more than 1/4") and about twice the diameter of the bobbins (wide and shallow) to sit under each bobbin and guide the thread safely. The hardest part is getting the top edge perfectly smooth (but not necessarily perfectly level), which is critical to avoid tangling the thread even worse. With one of these under each of the bobbins, the tangles have stopped. It even works with a 3-needle setup. Now I can sew as crazy as I want and not break any needles!

Awesome twin needle combo that works in most machines. Have used these in a couple different machines and really like them. I feel like with SCHMETZ you are getting good solid needles that are made well. These are not good for super thick fabric or leather, but do really well on just about everything else. Long lasting tips that have stayed sharp for me after many uses. I usually use these when I'm trying to reinforce a seam or really make sure its a strong stick. So far so good, would buy again and recommend to others.
