Great!
Worked perfectly for configuring my compustar alarm. Nothing extra required, plug and play. Having some tech savvy helps but is not required. 5 stars

Works fine; may not be authentic
Just as another reviewer stated - I got the product, and it works fine... but since it came with no labeling on the package or the device itself, I do question its authenticity... it'd be very easy for this to be a generic knockoff. Luckily this product is used pretty widely and not just with one manufacturer, so it seems others are likely to be compatible as long as the basic specs are right. Worked fine on my Windows 10 Surface Pro 4 to talk to my CompuStar Remote Start system.

Works well but seems like an unneccessary expense
Although I can't dock points since this thing works perfectly as advertised, I can't get past the notion that this seems like something that should be included with the transponder bypass/doorlock controller unit since WITHOUT THIS CABLE IT IS USELESS. But hey, I get it. They wanted to keep the cost down by not shipping EVERY UNIT with the cable, and just let install shops buy one cable and use it on dozens of units. Still, it sucks for do-it-yourselfers and people like me who don't like to let anyone touch their car unless absolutely necessary. I digress.

Works fine
I use this device to flash firmware on Compustar, Nustart, and iData products. It works as intended.

This worked for my main unit however it did not work with the units antenna firmware upgrade.

It works
At first I was a little worried it wouldn’t work. It turns out that you need a older version of .net framework which is a built in software but the older version was deactivated. didn’t take a lot of research to figure out how to activate the older version on my laptop though. So running a windows 10 computer and just a little bit of research I was able to make this work flawlessly.

It just works!
There's really not much to say about this item except that it does what it's supposed to do. Basically, one end of the cable has a 4-pin connector and connects to your iDataLink or FlashLogic module and the other end of the cable is a standard USB male that connects to your PC/laptop for flashing or upgrading your vehicles applicable firmware. For the DIY'er, you will be required to create a free "business" account as a "freelance installer" in order to gain access to the FlashLogic WebLink Updater. My PC recognized the module immediately and the flashing process was flawless. I would definitely recommend this cable if you will be installing your own remote starter with one of the compatible modules.

I personally recommend this product
I’m happy for this unit although I have to call a tech support @ idatalink, but they’re politely will answer your problem and guide you for the flashing instructions

Works great!
Received on time and worked great! It took a bit afford to install the driver on my Win 7, I had to enable the option of allowing finding/installing the driver from the windows update, then it worked flawlessly.

Works fine
worked fine. not sure what others are saying about not working? you must install ADS and FTDI drivers. was able. to flash firmware on my BLADE AL and change settings on my CM900S remote start via idatalink website. I don't think this is an "official" cable, it does work.

must have for installs
have to have one of these if your installing a compustar or idatalink system. makes programming soo much easier and I've used it twice already.
