These are the best instant potatoes I have ever bought. Not only are they organic, but they are just potatoes - so much better than buying instant potatoes full of chemicals. They are very easy to cook and taste great.

Unlike the instant mashed potatoes we can purchase in chain department stores, this product is not only organic, but also has no fillers or preservatives. So it's good for our bodies and thank God for that. I make it up in a serving bowl and add only Himalyan salt, nonfat milk powder, and grass-fed butter to it, before I pour boiling water over it. It takes more water to reconstitute these flakes than other instant potatoes (full of bad ingredients, BTW) that I've used in the past. So I often have to add more water, then stir it in with a fork and fluff it up before I use it. But it's been worth it to retrain myself and get the formula right. These potatoes taste like homemade, altho their consistency takes some getting used to. They're stiff, but very smooth. I find if I wait a full minute before I serve them, they improve in flavor and consistency. So, all's well that ends well. BTW, reconstituted potatoes have A LOT of resistant starch in them, which is beneficial for gut health. That's why I was so happy to find this product. It's now a staple in my kitchen.

best potato flakes on the market! Can not stand any of the other products out there quality is like no other! Worth the money hands down!

I wish someone made USDA organic potato flakes with no additives of any kind. I wanted the convenience of flakes from organic potatoes that I could season myself, but both brands I have tried have palm oil additive which gives an off taste. I thought it may be the flavorings included in the other brand I tried, but that weird taste exists in these as well so I am guessing it is the palm oil (it is in both brands). I tried to overcome the off taste with garlic salt, butter, etc. but you can still taste it. I love that it is organic and convenient, but will not be purchasing again due to the odd flavor that comes through and the high cost. Shiloh Farms please consider producing USDA organic potato flakes with no additives and I will try them!

I avoid potatoes if they are not non gmo. I haven't had a potato in a restaurant, for years and years now. Even for my dogs. I use these potatoes in a small quantity, with boiled water from my electric tea pot; added with a half bag of boiled fresh baby carrots, mashed, and a pound of grass fed lean ground meat; for my dogs. I add some bone broth and a drop of butter. My dog is tiny. So it lasts for days. These potatoes help the food to stay together. I have tasted these potatoes and they taste good. Good to have on hand in the pantry. They don't contain salt. Which makes them dog friendly. Dogs can't have salt.

I was loving having a source of organic instant potatoes until tonight. I was scooping some out and found some strange brown/tan things in it, upon closer examination it turns out they are dried bug parts. Now what am I going to do....
