Review: A superior stand, nothing else like it. - I rarely write reviews... I know, but it’s true. I write them when a product is so superior that it just deserves it. So here we go. I already own a “Tablift” which I bought at Sam’s Club about 2 years ago. I bought another one because I lent mine to my father who uses it to watch tv on his iPad in the evening and I can’t live without it anymore. I’ve tried 5 other stands in the 8 years I’ve had an iPad and this is, by far, the superior product in this price range. This stand is sturdy, minimalistic and truly versatile. I have an iPad Pro that fits perfectly snug, as does my iPad 2 and my iPhone 6S Plus (there is an adjustment for smaller devices in the instructions that come in the box). I can work on my iPad without the stand moving or wobbling! It’s the best. The gooseneck legs can be adjusted any way you need and they’re the really sturdy ones. No flipping or flopping. You move a leg and it stays put until it’s moved again. I haven’t found anything negative to say in the time I’ve owned this product and I use it almost every day. I was not asked or paid or anything for this review, I just think when there’s clearly a superior product out there, people should know about it. We need more stuff designed and built like this. This company seems to not be afraid to create and build something that actually lasts and works as described. I bought another one because I wanted another one, not because the first one broke or was hard to use. That means something, I hope. Then there’s the price. HA! I have spent more on stands that were in the garbage a month later. And there’s nothing else like it. I’ve looked, trying to find a “better deal”. I couldn’t find anything. Review: ULTIMATE IPAD HOLDER!!!!!! - Are you looking for an iPad or tablet holder that stays in place? Are you looking for a holder that you can use in bed , on the couch or wherever? Then look NO FURTHER! This device is the bomb! I have been searching for something like this forever. I like to play hidden object games sitting up on my bed on my iPad and , so I need to put the iPad close to my face a lot of times , but not having to adjust it every minute. **Q: Is there anything like this for smartphones?**
A: Yes, I have the tablift and several brands of lazy cell phone holders and gooseneck style holders. All have pros and cons. I did not care for the gooseneck style at all. It requires you to clamp it but everything I could clamp to was too far away. 

My favorite of the lazy cellphone holder styles is by zinner. It has the sturdiest and longest neck piece. Other brands I’ve tried are barely long enough that I feel slightly claustrophobic. My only qualm with the zinner is if I try to readjust closer and don’t hold my iPhone XR taught against the holding part it’ll fall on my face. 

What’s nice abou it is I can use my kindle with the zinner so it’s a better travel option. I can shape the zinner legs to fit similar to the tablift and set it on my chest. 

As for reading in bed I do prefer my Tablift for my kindle. It’s well designed. I just wish the slots you slide the kindle in were more adjustable or padded for expanding to fit wider items like my iPhone and it’s protective case. Hope this helps.

**Q: Will Tablift hold a tablet with a cover on it?**
A: No it won't, but I w suggested for them to have an adapter so a person can keep the cover on their tablet/kindle. Even though it does not handle a cover, it is exceptional! If you can get around the fact that you can't keep the cover on, you won't regret getting one!

**Q: Looking for tablet holder that will hold my Kindle Fire, which is 4 3/4 x 8".  Will this accommodate tbose specs?**
A: I have a galaxy 10.1, it measures 6" x 10" and you can use it either direction. I would think you will be ok. You just wrap the bungi cord under to make it tighter for the shorter side. This is the best thing I've ever had to hold my tablet. You are totally hands free, no more crick in my neck from holding it. Good Luck

**Q: how is it for gaming?**
A: Someone says it needs more support for a 10" tablet. I don't understand why more support, the 4 legs are adjustable to meet the standards of a 10" tablet. I have two 10" Samsung tablets and a 7" Kindle Fire and this stand is the best, nof just saying that, I've had mine for about a year or longer and wouldn't have anything else. Not sure how well it works for more than 10"-13" tablets. I have the Steam pc app on my 10" tablet for playing my pc games remotely and have the stand on my lap while holding my xbox controller behind the tablet while my arms rest on the legs of the stand playing comfortably, the best.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better than anything else I've tried but could use a bit more flexibility

Tablift Tablet Stand for the Bed, Sofa, or Any Uneven Surface - By Nbryte Really helpful product but there's still some room for improvement: Good Stuff: - FINALLY a hands-free tablet/e-reader stand for bed/laying down! I have carpal tunnel & it's horrible when laying down. Holding my iPad or Kindle in bed is extremely painful. This little guy goes A LONG way towards solving the problem. I can now read & (I'm embarrassed to admit!) play games with a lot less pain - A lot more flexibility than other stands I've tried for reading in bed. This holds my iPad Air 2 & my Kindle Paperwhite equally well...nice & tight without any moving or slipping. I've only used the angle that allows the machine to slant towards you from the top which reduces the angle your head needs to lean forward for good viewing - Very sturdy & high quality - this thing is NOT going to break, come apart or have any trouble with components...heavy metal legs with nice flexibility, super strong elastic that adjusts nicely to different sized tablets & very thick/strong plastic components. Whomever designed & manufactured this wasn't messing around with quality! Room for Improvement (okay, this may be a little over the top...but here's what I would do to make it 'perfect'): - It's expensive...which I pretty much get given the quality, but if I were designing this I might reduce the ultra-high quality components in exchange for more flexibility &/or a lower price. That said, I doubt you'll find a higher-quality solution for hands-free reading in bed. This thing will likely outlast us all! - I wish it had a bit more flexibility in terms of the way it holds the machine. It allows the machine to angle forward from the top (like the photo shows) but the angle is set by 1 of 3 "trays" on the stand. In other words, you put the tablet in the stand either leaning back, straight up or leaning forward. I wish there were a way to change the angles of the tablet more. In my case, I'd like it to lean forward a lot more. - I'm weird but thanks to carpal tunnel & fibromyalgia it takes me a bit of adjusting once I get in bed to be comfortable. I keep putting the tablet in the stand, setting it on the bed, getting myself comfortable & then adjusting the legs of the stand. I inevitably cause the tablet to pop out of the stand during all of this ridiculous commotion on my part...which basically starts the process over! Arrgghh! It's actually pretty funny after I stop being annoyed! I don't want to think what I must look like! Assuming you are not as 'high-maintenance' as me, this probably won't be an issue. For me, I wish it were harder to knock the tablet out of place since it keeps happening despite my best efforts. - I wish the legs had a telescoping feature...they have a lot of flexibility already because of the way they bend, but I'm always wanting the front legs to be shorter than the back legs in order to lean the tablet forward more. As I attempt to prop up the back legs & lay out the front legs I usually pop the tablet out of the stand. - The little hook you see in the photo at the top of the elastic strap is okay but again could use a little more flexibility. My iPad Air 2 is super thin so the good thing is that it will fit in this stand with a very thin skin on the back/sides of the tablet. I'm pretty sure my old iPad 2 (much thicker) would not fit on this stand if it were in any kind of case. Even with the thin Air & a super thin case, I have to lay the tablet in landscape & only on 1 side because the case has a tiny thickness on one side that makes it too thick for the little clasp. In other words...there is very little tolerance for various thicknesses in the machine. If you have any iPad made prior to the Air & you want to leave it in its case, my guess is that it will not fit. Overall, I'm very glad to have found this because it does help me a lot in terms of pain management while reading in bed. I just wish it had a few extra options that would make it even more flexible...if it did, I wouldn't consider the price to be high at all.
