What size would be 34-38 short? Is it medium short??

I normally wear 35 or 36 short. These pants are usually worn over your regular jeans so I bought large. They really are a bit to big and long so probably the medium short would be better. Depends on whether you want some extra roominess for coverage, ventilation and flexibility or a less bulky fit.

What size would be best for 38x30?
