**Q: Do you hang the futon to dry daily with the cover on or off?**
A: Please dry the FUTON with the cover attached.
Wash the cover only if it gets dirty.

**Q: If you sleep on it the first day, will it stop expanding?**
A: Once FUTON is fully expanded, we recommend using it.

**Q: I just got this and found out it’s not flat - there’s a pretty big ‘ridge’ in the middle because it was folded in the package. Does that go away?**
A: Make sure you lay your mattress out for a few days before you use it, that will puff it up more.  Yes, the ridge goes away in time.  Mine has no ridge at all now.

I received this product and immediately tried it as a futon. Despite its thin appearance, the balance between firmness and softness was just right, and I didn't feel any strain on my body while sleeping. When actually sleeping, I laid it on top of a carpet. Whether laid directly on the floor like in Japan or used with a bed frame, it seems comfortable to sleep on either way. The size is Twin (100cm x 200cm), so it's a perfect size for one adult and one child to sleep on. My child also liked this new, fluffy futon. This futon is made in Japan, with very beautiful stitching and no fraying or damage. However, since it cannot be washed or dried, I plan to use a waterproof bed cover to prevent it from getting dirty.

I have slept a little over a month long and I am quite pleased with the results. I no longer have trouble sleeping as I only unfold the bed when it’s time to sleep, the comfort level is high for someone like me who always hates soft squishy mattresses, I’ve transitioned from a normal bed to to my makeshift floor bed for a while, eventually I thought to buy a product like this after remembering my travels in Japan. I was hesitant to purchase at first because I was reading some reviews that were negative, but I assure you they are all wrong.So let’s talk about the mattress: it’s beautiful, it’s light, it’s comfortable with no smell. I Have done the measuring thing since I’ve seen some people obsessed about the inches, it was a little over 3. When I unboxed it, I waited 7 days even though the moment I opened it from the vacuum sealed bag it looked comfy.The sheets from the same company also fit perfectly, if you’ve read all the reviews related then you’ll see someone complain, perhaps he did not know how to put sheets in correctly, his looked rather loose.I just want to type forever about how much I’m in love with my new sleeping arrangement.I hope you enjoy this as much as me and I thank the wonderful MIINA company of Japan for sharing this gift with me.

bought this to replace and old extra firm mattress that was starting to give away in the middle and lose support. thin enough to feel flat surface underneath but padded enough that protruding joints/bones arent uncomfortable. way more economical than traditional mattress and much easier to store/move but keep in mind that it needs to be aired regularly to avoid mold especially if it's being used on floor.arrived clean and vacuum sealed with no residual smell.delivered by ups which wasnt a great experience as they kept pushing the delivery date back, ended up having to go to facility and pick it up. not the seller's fault though.if youre looking for a soft/medium mattress this is not the product for you. however if youre used to extra firm or sleep on the foor already this is a great product.
