IP66 External/Outdoor Waterproof Junction Box (86x86x50mm +Connectors)

I recently purchased this IP66 Outdoor External Junction Box for a backyard lighting project, and I’m genuinely impressed with the quality and performance. Build Quality: The enclosure is made of tough, durable plastic that feels solid and reliable. The seal around the lid is thick and secure, ensuring a tight, weatherproof fit. The screws are rust-resistant and easy to tighten, and the hinged lid is a great feature for convenient access. Weather Resistance: We’ve had several heavy rains and even a bit of snow since installing this, and the inside has remained completely dry. The IP66 rating really holds up – perfect for protecting connections in harsh outdoor environments. Ease of Installation: Pre-drilled mounting holes and plenty of space inside made it easy to install and wire. I had room for multiple cables and even a small terminal block without it feeling cramped. The knockouts on the sides were easy to remove cleanly with a hole saw. Versatility: I used it for outdoor lighting, but it would be equally useful for CCTV systems, garden projects, or any other low-voltage outdoor wiring. It has a professional look and feels very secure once mounted. Final Verdict: If you're looking for a solid, waterproof, and easy-to-use external junction box, this one is a winner. Great value for the price and definitely built to last.

Does what’s it supposed to Good value. It does come with three of the Wago clip style connectors inside the box. They seem good quality It does NOT come with the threaded Glands. The description doesn’t say it does, but you might think cause of the pictures it does - it does NOT

"Fitted with flexible waterproof membrane... Just push your cable through" appears to be an overstatement. I would still recommend to drill undersized holes through these membranes and have this junction box oriented such that the wires entrance points are at the bottom, so this junction box is a bit overpriced. Otherwise, it is of excellent quality and easy to use.

Ideal junction box when using the black glands as well, fits in well with my install. The wago connectors made it such a simple & fast install....Will buy again

Would do the job fine, ideally one 10mm bigger would have been ideal as i wanted to put a 12v 15w led drive transformer in ti.

I bought this mainly for the couplers for the wires. Not sure what the other bit of plastic was for. If you want to use the other holes you’ll need to buy the screwed plastic fitting. I wasn’t putting it outside so wasn’t a problem. The wire couplers weren’t as strong as I would have liked, especially if using mains cable. Did the job though. I took a start off because you’d need to buy other fittings if if was outside and no idea what the other plastic piece was for?
