So anyone who owns a cat knows that if cats could kill us they would and many cats certainly try.. Now lets be honest. most of the time cats will try to kill you with a stare or try to smother you by sleeping on your face, but once in a while you will find a cat that is fairly smart. Our cat is one of those cats. So our cat takes pride in being on of these rare smart cats and unlike some other cats who might try to kill their owners, or masters if you prefer; by making them trip over them or by causing chaos until their master just can't take it anymore, our cat likes to go to extremes. So our cat has upped his killing methods by turning on our gas stove burners. Could it be because he jumped up on the stove and accidently pushed off the dials which spun them and turned the gas on? Maybe... Is it more likely that he has figured out a way to climb on the stove and turn the dials with is little evil paws? Absolutely! So these knob covers are fantastic to thwart our cats evil plans. We no longer have to wake up in the middle of the night smelling gas and hoping we don't blow up. These covers are clear and the latch can be put towards the top or bottom. We have them towards the bottom which is a little annoying but it prevents our cat from pushing down and opening them. These knob covers do come with double sided tape but we didn't use it. It looked cheap and was a pain to get off anyway. I used a name brand double sided tape and used a tiny amount as its no joke, i can't tell you the brand on this review but I can tell you its “Strong enough for the toughest jobs on planet Earth." YOU DO NOT NEED TO TAKE OFF YOU STOVE KNOBS TO INSTALL THESE. You can if you want, but you don't need to. So many brands I looked at said you had to take the knobs off you stove to install them, I didn't think mine came off ( they do ) so I got these. Since installing these knobs I can say we haven't had to worry about our cat blowing us up. He can no longer try to go out with a bang! 10/10 would recommend! Again we didn't use the double sided tape it came with AND we installed these with the latch at the bottom to open. they open easy when you press down so I recommend installing them with the button at the bottom. WARNING: Your cat might get extra angry with you for a period of time after installing these knobs if they prevent one of his murder plans. Don't worry this will pass over time and he will starting thinking of new ways to terrorize you. Good luck!

I can't say enough great things about the Stove Knob Covers for Child Safety! As a parent of an active toddler, I’ve always been worried about the stove knobs, especially with how curious little ones are. These covers have been an absolute game changer in terms of peace of mind. They are incredibly easy to install ,Literally takes seconds. They fit snugly over the knobs and are designed in a way that makes it nearly impossible for my toddler to remove or tamper with them. At the same time, they're simple enough for an adult to use without too much effort. The quality is great. They feel durable and like they were built to last, which is a big plus considering how much wear and tear they’ll get. I also love that they don’t interfere with the look of the stove. I highly recommend it to any parent! It’s a small investment for priceless peace of mind.

I actually bought these because my cat kept turning the stove on. But they work perfectly when my grand daughter tried also. You will be happy with these stove knob covers. They’re the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I bought different set of these with push buttons on each side, but they were too wide. This was despite the fact they said I needed a 3" spacing between shafts, and I had over 3". So I made triple sure these would fit, and they did. I found the semi-circle adhesive straps too finicky to get on without bunching up, so I cut them in half and put one half on each side where the seam is. Much easier to put on, and still enough adhesive for a strong bond. Just make sure you clean the surface well before applying. The center hole was the exact same size as the hole on my RV oven, so aligninment was easy. I also appreciate the clear adhesive straps that don't interfere with viewing the settings on the stove. I positioned them with opening upward, so once you let go, the will somewhat automatically close. No more worrying about bumping and turning on the gas, which both my wife and I were guilty of.

Overall, it keeps my little one’s hands free from turning the burners. However, the sticky material does come up and not fasten properly on all knobs. The closure is a bit tight and hard to completely close while in use. Half of them just freely jiggle on the knob now (1 month with them). Easy to put on, just not good value for long term use.

love them, I haven't accidentally turned the burners since I put the covers on. For safety I would definitely recommend them.

Was not what was described on the item broke the same day of purchase

The version in the images clips around the oven knobs but the version we received needs an adhesive backing. And the clip is damaged on all of them in a similar way.

Broke the first time it was pressed. Not as pictured in terms of button. It is a catch, not a button as it appeared. I purchased this specifically because it seemed superior to others. It is not.

Good latch and easy to install. To large for my specific stovetop so I could only cover 3 of my 5 knobs.
