Quality, durability and exceptional price.
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I do welding and fabricating as a hobby. I couldn't purchase the quality of aluminum and hardware for what they sell theirs for. I bought 2 and extra base plates so I can locate the holders either front or stern. Quality, workmanship is phenomenal. I have a buddy who has had these holders for 15 years without issue. The only thing I could ask Millenium to improve is add vertical rod holders attached to the T-bar for when you want to relocate. If you troll a lot this is definitely a necessity. We use them to crappy fish here in Florida but they're strong enough to handle larger fish. Sturdiness: Heavy Aluminum construction. Adjustment capability: Adjust up to 24" which allows you easy access to your rods.

Best rigging setup, PERIOD! These things are awesome. I had originally purchased a driftmaster setup but found these before installing it. Glad I made the right choice and went with Millenium Marine instead. No tools required for adjustments. Each holder is independently adjustable left and right(360 degrees) and up and down with thumb screws. The whole rig is also adjustable 360 degrees and there are 4 height settings unlike other brands. The holder is mounted to the base plate with thumb screws which are retained in the plate on the post so the are no parts to lose and no tools needed for removal. I keep my boat covered so that's handy for me. The base plate, which are the only thing permanently mounted to the boat, are completly flat. So, if the holder is removed, you don't have any trip hazards. And let me tell you, these things are by no means cheaply made. Other reviews claim being able to hold up to big cats and I believe it. I personally crappie fish 100% of the time and they work great for me. I have my glass Ranger set up for rigging. I also purchased 2 extra base plates to mount in the back of the boat on either side. Holders can be easily moved from plate to plate. You basically have an endless amount of options. Also, the post make a perfect mounting point for RAM Mount accessories and the ROBOCUP fits perfect. Literally, the only downside is movement on one rod can be transmitted to the others. But without having a whole bunch of individual holders, it's gonna happen, no matter what brand it is. My only complaint is that I don't have a bigger boat to mount more of them in. If you are up in the air about these or not, buy them. You won't regret it. On a side note, I purchase lots of items from Amazon and normally don't review anything. I am so overly happy with these holders that I had to take time out of my day to write this. And I DID NOT receive a discount for this review. They were purchased at regular price and I would buy 10 more if I had to.

Great rod holders for spider rigging.
Bought two of these to add to the front of my bass boat for Crappie fishing. Also bought the aluminum plates that mounts to your deck that allows you to remove when not using. They work great! Only use when spider rigging. When removed there no tripping hazards. Very well made. All aluminum construction prevents corrosion and looks nice. Very easy to adjust to keep rods in position you want. Will out last me!

Durable, easy install, easy to ajust.
I just received two of these today, spent only five minutes to install, and all the parts are rust resistant, made out of aluminum body, the rod holder already coat with PVC, the screws and the springs are stainless steel, the thumb nuts are brass, Very durable you can use trolling for catfish, crappies, wiper fish, walleye..... maybe for great lake salmon fishing. The price is right. Hopefully they don't raise thire price.

they are expensive but you get what you pay for
Wanted these for a while, made do with cheaper option for years, finally went for it. They are great, I use mostly night fishing under a light. They are highly adjustable, very sturdy and easily removed when not needed. Only regret not getting them sooner. Pro tip buy an extra base for the other side and you can switch back and forth as needed.

Portable so it doesn’t get stolen! Solid…
UPDATE: very sturdy! Though it was not intended, I did see that it is as sturdy as it feels. We were trolling and accidentally hooked a snag. My medium heavy pole nearly doubled over and the spyderlok held! Pro’s: 1-solid feel/build, heavy feel 2-portable, quickly attaches / detaches to base plate without tools. I ordered one extra baseplate so I have one front and back of my boat. You need a drill and Phillips head to install baseplate. 3-telescopes. This feature is great. 4-easy to adjust the rod holders or remove one. All adjustments have knobs. Cons: 1- priced a bit high but when you look at craftsmanship, it seems well made. I use mine to drift fish for catfish. I usually have three 7 to 8 foot rods and it appears solid when catching fish. Will update after more fishing trips. Overall impression is buy it if you troll, drift etc. The baseplate is low profile and out of the way when you have the rod holder off. 4 stars for now until it sees more action.

An exceptional fishing rod holder - Flexible, strong and secure.
I've been using the Spyerlok for a couple seasons. I have 4 of them and recently updated the system with their track system and single pod rod holders (sold directly through Millennium Marine). The product is exceptional. I've used them on the St. Croix and Mississippi Rivers. Pulled in some flat head cat fish in excess of 30 lbs and these rod holders had no problem handling them. They are very sturdy, totally flexible across all 3 axes of rotation, and they securely hold my rods when trolling. A couple reviewers expressed concerns that some of the parts were changed over from aluminum to plastic. The plastic that is being used is a composite plastic that I believe contains carbon fibers. These types of composite plastics are used in numerous automotive applications including engine cam shafts, and structurally by airline manufacturers. They are stronger than the aluminum that they replaced. Two seasons and close to 100 outings and they are as good as new - no wear or breakage. In any case Millennium Marine stands behind the product with a 3 year warranty.
