Surprisingly High Quality at This PriceโClear, Golden, and Sweetโ
A luminous golden-yellow hue layered with warm amber tonesโthis Jin Jun Mei reveals its sweetness through precision brewing. Steeped at 203โ212ยฐF (95โ100ยฐC), each infusion unfolds gently, allowing the honeyed aroma and soft caramel notes to rise. With timing calibrated to seconds rather than minutes, the tea delivers a smooth, lingering finish that is both bright and deeply comforting.

Rich, delicious tea. Strong notes of chocolate.
Rich, chocolatey, and a hint of lapsang souchong smokiness. This tea is very fresh, produced in June 2019, and is made from the genuine FuYun no. 6 variety tea plant, with young delicate leaves and nice small golden buds. With this grade JinJunMei, you can still experience much of the characteristic flavors of true "golden eyebrows" without the high price. The flavor is very enjoyable. It is deep and persistent, and I easily got 8 steeps in my gaiwan. Top quality JinJunMei is extremely expensive because it is a very early harvest tea, and because it is very labor intensive to produce. To make one lb of top grade JinJunMei, it takes 50,000 tea sprouts/buds. This takes twenty workers an entire day, and the price reflects this. Obviously lower grades will have more leaves, less buds, and be a bit less sweet, but overall I was very impressed with the flavor of this tea, and found it to be a very nice way to experience good tasting JinJunMei while still paying a reasonable price.

Outstanding tea, great value!
Only a few seconds steep needed to release a rich reddish amber color; very pleasant toasted-bread (malty?) fragrance, with a mild and sweet comforting tea taste. Tried the B grade, but looking forward to getting the A next time!

good flavor
I'm impressed!! I was not so sure with the initial aroma of the dry leaves but once I brewed them, it was very very nice. It was a very warm, almost cocoa-like taste. I used 8 grams in a 150 ml gaiwan with spring water- brewed to 195 - I gave a rinse, then a 10 second brew and then followed it up with a second infusion by adding another 5 seconds. I look forward to seeing how many steeps I can get from these leaves.
