Finally An Antenna That Works
Previously, I purchased two electronic high tech (allegedly) antennas from Amazon. they came with signal amplifiers, and a rotating antenna for maximum performance. Both failed within a week of installation. I then purchased the Channel Master antenna which was easy to assemble and install. The antenna pulls in more stations than the previous 2 without any signal amplification. Does a great job. Hi def programs awesome.

Actually Works!
I have tried dozens of HDTV antennas, all promising unrealistic multi-mile coverage. At best I could get 23 channels on a perfectly clear day. First time I pointed this out the window, in the rain of the hurricane, I got All 46 available in the Myrtle Beach area. I used an old coat stand to mount it on. Stupid HOA won't allow roof mounted antennas or I would put it out there. RECOMMEND!

I PICK UP 75 STATIONS
Keep in mind that I live on the outskirts of Austin, TX, within a 25 mile radius of all the transmission towers. The towers are on the sole high hill in the area and the land here is flat as a pancake. If you're in the mountains, live a long way from the transmitters, or in a city surrounded by tall buildings, your results will not be the same. (1). Price is not a value. All the reviews said "Get a quality antenna like a Craftsman for best results" so that's the brand I purchased. When it arrived it was about $10 worth of thin aluminum tubes. Come on, for $85? It was a small box within a much larger box, like one of those goofy Christmas presents. I doubt it cost the company $15 to make even with the labor. When I dropped it (and you will drop it if you mount it on a 10 foot 1x2 and climb up a 24 foot ladder and a good gust of wind comes along before you can get it fastened), the outer tubes, which are held on by pop rivets and cannot be tightened, came loose. I had to literally tie them back to the mast with twist ties!! So minus one star for the cheap quality and the high price. Value for price aside, once installed, it worked like a champ. I don't know how long it will last as we often have wind gusts over 35 mpg. I did not extend it on up above the top of the chimney because it was way too high (I'm 75 years old, and I was already afraid I was going to fall off that shaky aluminum ladder)! But it didn't seem to matter as all the channels come in crystal clear. Now I can get rid of basic cable (which just went up to $245/month with Internet). I purchased fiber optic Internet - 500 Mbps, fiber optic, get my local channels and much more over this antenna, and can purchase a streaming service for remaining TV/Sports. Streaming services don't charge you box fees, consumer fees, FCC fees, Local Programming Fees, taxes and surcharges like the cable companies. And streaming services start around $65. or less depending on what you want. I'm glad I was able to cut my cable/internet in half and don't have to worry about it going up as soon as the "promotional period" is over any more. FREE AT LAST!

Hands down the best antenna we have tested yet for Local HD TV
I wish we would have upgraded to this antenna years ago. The signal quality dramatically improved on all channels and now we get even more channels! This antenna even just sitting on a shelf provides a dramatic improvement over all the mount on the wall behind the TV antenna. No more breaking up of signals and frustrated TIVO recording that are barely watchable. Save yourself the headache and just choose this antenna first. Now I have lots of old antennas (including multiple amplified antennas) to give away.

Great unit
Got this antenna as my local relievers are within about 30 miles. I was getting about 25 or so channels with a cheap 99cents store flat antenna so imagine my surprise when after installing this one outside pointed in the direction of my local towers I was able to pick up over 70 channels. For mounting I used a pre-existing dish network mount after removing the satelite dish. I am super pleased and would definitely recommend this to anyone make sure you check your channel availability and towers In Your area

Terrible product. I will be sending it back
I couldn't get but 3 out of 22 stations in my area with this mounted at about 40ft. high on top of my roof. I tried it with a booster and without to no avail. I don't know if there is something wrong with this particular one but it didn't work at all. And I'm only 15 miles from all the towers. Terrible product. I will be sending it back.

Best so far.
I live out in the country, out amongst the corn stalks and far from the TV transmitters. I have been through ten different indoor antennas and this one has worked the best. I live in Ellington, Ct. 30 miles from Hartford, Ct. antennas and 20 miles from Springfield, Mass stations. I get a mix of both. I don't understand the concern that this is not a VHF antenna. I get everything I used to get from channel 3.1 (CBS) to 69.2 (AntennaTV). I even get the low powered NTSC analog channel 34 (AMGTV) . These are usually religious or minority owned stations that aren't allowed to transmit a full strength signal, which are the only ones still allowed to transmit in the old defunct system. The kind where a poor signal gets you static and not blocky squares when the signal declines. Remember static? To be sure, I have always used a powered amplifier connected to the antenna. This is a good one I bought from Amazon. 2-Port Bi-Directional Cable TV HDTV Amplifier Splitter Signal Booster with Passive Return Path I suspect the reason this antenna works so well is that it has so much antenna size. It's big. 20" by 17" inches. I have it just hanging high up on an inside wall (tacked up with some cable stays). As others have mentioned, it looks a little bit like modern art. So this setup gives me about 13 channels in HD. Mostly without picture breakup (which used to be horrible with earlier antennas). This does not get me any new channels but all the big commercial network and PBS stations come in very clear. I don't think I can do better than this and quite frankly I'm tired of trying.

My new Channel Master CM-4220HD UHF TV Antenna works great
Antenna was easy to set up in my apartment and I get all the channels I want. Takes up little space, well built and cuts out the expense of cable TV. Channel Master is best TV antenna out there. I have used them when I lived in a rural setting for many years .

Quality product !
I installed this antenna on a old floor lamp (with all of the electrical components removed) and placed it in front of a window in an upstairs window (second floor) , routed the cable to my television in the basement , hooked it up and sat back and enjoyed free t.v. programs with a very good picture ! As always delivery was excellent , Thanks Amazon.ca ! I would recommend this product to anyone !
