Worth Every Penny
Vast majority of cheaper flag hardware rotates on the pole creating friction and noise. These rotate within their own bearings so they work 1000% better than cheaper alternatives. No noise or rubbing on the pole because the bearing is encased. And the bearings work fantastically allowing the flag to stretch fully instead of sagging for allowance. Have been through many days of high winds and flag has never folded or flipped. Incredibly impressive. Quality piece of hardware. Canโt speak to endurance over time but so solid Imaginably will last. Worth every penny to never fix flag and never hear noise when blowing.

Not inexpensive however, not cheaply made either!
I ended up buying these Stanwood swivels for my outdoor 3 x 5 American flag because I was simply getting tired of the flag wrapping itself up constantly on the pole when the wind would blow, ...very frustrating. These did the trick and worked as advertised! They were sort of pricey, but you will thank yourself that you purchased these Made in the USA flag swivels. They are solidly made and swivel very easily. Plus they dress up the flag pole to honor "Old Glory", the flag pole I am using came from COSTCO and the diameter is almost 1.25" and the swivel fits great. The cheaply made swivel that originally came with the pole was junk. Glad I replaced them! Respect the flag and get a set of these!

It really works! If you are having a flag wrapping the pole problem, buy this to solve it!
My house faces west, so I catch all the north and south winds. I bought a 1 1/4" swivel wall mount pole at Costco. I was excited to mount it, as we always displayed a flag on our previous home. I mounted it and immediately it began to wrap the pole. I lubed the swivel channels, adjusted the tension between the swivels, and continued to unwrap the pole, daily. I was to the point of removing the flag. I just didn't need a fulltime job, managing the flag. I decided to search for a solution, and found these metal, ball bearing swivels. My swivels were plastic and couldn't take much tension and remain free to swivel. The price exceeded the cost of my entire flagpole assembly, but it is worth every penny. If you want a true tangle free installation this product will solve your problem. Now, I enjoy looking at my flag, instead of constantly unwrapping it from the pole.

Why cheap out?
EDIT: Today, November 26th, after 2.5 months in use the top swivel on my flagpole came apart. I thought it was broken so I emailed the vendor (Saturday night) within an hour(!) I had a response, I installed it UPSIDE DOWN. It clicked back together easily, now installed in the correct orientation... What a dummy I am. So this is a fantastic set of flagpole swivels, definitely very well built. Definitely prevents flag wrap. Which makes the omission of a thumbscrew for the lower swivel a shocking oversight considering this costs $48. Maybe if you only put up a single flag ever and call it done you won't care. But we have a US flag, our state flag, a Gadsden Flag, BLM flag (just kidding) and a couple others. Every single one has a different length hoist, having to pull out a large Phillips-head to change flags is annoying, plus I guarantee that screw will eventually be "cammed out". So I went up to Ace and purchased a thumbscrew (6 mm x 1.0 thread, 12 mm long) for $3.29. Problem solved, but why not just include one? In bulk they would pay a lot less than that. Also, does anyone look at how a consumer-grade flag is hung? The grommets are vertically oriented but the hole in the rotating ring is horizontal so when you install with the supplied clips it isn't straight. First off buy some small split rings (1/2" is what I used), put the split rings on the rotating ring, some carabiner clips through the split rings and then they will be oriented correctly for the grommets. If some manufacturer ever decides to make the rotating ring's hole vertically oriented it would be the perfect flagpole setup. We'll see how it does in a Montana winter.

Worth every penny!
I couldn't wait to write this review! I installed these as soon as I got them. I'm a bit OC with my flag. I work from home and would see the flag wrap around the pole several times a day. It hangs from a porch post at a 45 degree angle. While browsing through all the various products, I only saw one with ball bearings but reviewers said they were not stainless steel and would rust and seize up. In others, the part the actual flag attaches to is "aluminum alloy" which will bleed and leave black marks and streaks. Make no mistake, these rings are super expensive! More than my 1-1/8 inch aluminum flag pole and top quality Annin flag combined. But in the 10 days I've had these now, I HAVE YET to untangle my flag. It's amazing! Almost all other ring sets that show their product installed instruct the user not to pull the rings too tight. I believe this is the secret to this set. The instructions tell you to ensure the flag is taut between the rings. This, in my opinion, makes the spine of the flag act as a "rod" between the top and bottom ring and helps the rings keep in sync with each other, acting as one unit. It also is a testament to the strength of the rings themselves. Other manufacturers do not want tension on their rings! My only suggestion for improvement is this: I wish the 1-1/8 rings came in a silver color to match a silver or aluminum flag pole. But this is a small concern as nobody sees the rings themselves, just the flag flying gloriously tangle free! Bottom line - a great investment, well worth the premium price!

Easy install; frictionless spin
I live in an urban environment. I used the product for a Halloween pennant fixed to a pole jutting from the 3rd floor deck of my loft. See the photo. The building gets a fair amount of wind and so far, after a few weeks, it functions perfectly. Just make sure you've a pole of sufficient diameter since the fastening screw only goes in so far.

Worth the price!
Great flag spinners! My flag flows freely and rarely gets hung up on the house anymore. 100% recommended!
