I don't rave about products very often, but I just can't say enough good things about this set. The larger of the two tools must be used with caution, but if you are careful, you won't regret the purchase. I work on my feet and have suffered from calluses for a very long time. i have tried everything in the past...sand paper type exfoliators, "cheese grater" types, razor blade tools, rich lotions and creams...both wet and dry...and nothing worked very well. THIS SET IS INCREDIBLE THOUGH! The larger grater-style tool removes large amounts of dry skin with absolute ease - even without soaking your feet first. It requires very little effort and literally takes only seconds to remove thick calluses from rough feet. Because it is so effective, you really need to take great care in using that particular tool. Do not press too firmly or you will remove healthy skin as well - which not only causes bleeding, but you will have incredibly sore spots on your feet for days. Only light pressure is needed and you've got to go slow. I recommend the lightest touch and feel your feet after every pass to ensure you aren't going too deep. (If you do happen to go too far and end up with soreness, I have found applying a little Neosporin on the area, followed by a waterproof bandage will draw the soreness out in about 24 hours.) The larger tool can leave your feet slightly rough, so the smaller tool can then be used to smooth your feet as smooth as glass. I have found that then applying a cream made with 40% urea and 2% salicylic acid will help to keep calluses from reforming. If used with caution, I assure you these tools will give you the softest, smoothest feet of your dreams.

These are both great. The rasp is pretty aggressive, so if you don’t have Fred Flintstone feet like me you need to use very, VERY gentle pressure. Like the force of gravity on the rasp gentle. The file is pretty aggressive too, but there’s much less chance of taking off more than callous with it. It works well to smooth the areas you rasp because there will be noticeable grooves.

I had deep cracks on my feet that were painful and it seems to take so long to get rid of the rough skin with a pumice stone or something similar so inwas looking for an alternative. If you use the big file in his kit on dry skin, it takes it off pretty slow and it grabs so its a little painful, but thats because its just chomping at the bit to do its job. Now, if you soften the skin with a soak (i also bought some softener gel that i think helped), then get some tortillas ready because this thing is like a cheese grater and you could make quesedillas with the results!! Thats gross, but it just tells the extent of what you're getting and its effective without eating up "live" skin. I havent tried the smaller files, but they look to be good. I just bought this because of the big grater and am totally happy with it. Things you'll like: Its big enough you're working on your whole foot at once. Its aggressive yet not enough to damage (although there is a warning to take it slow because im sure someone got into live skin before) Ive use it several times in the first week and it seems as sharp as day one. Not that you won't like it because of the following, but: Its slower on dry skin and is aggressive enough it will pull which is painful, just use it when your feet are soaked and soft. Its not good at getting into small areas like the corner of toes, but thats probably where the smaller files come in. Overall, you're getting this set for the big "cheese gater", which works great! Within two days, my crack pain was gone and my feet were back to walking barefoot again (which is my problem in the first place)

Well made foot files, and work as you would want, just be careful with the grater - its sharp and if you put too much pressure, you'll make yourself bleed.

Holy moly! This thing works! I used it after a shower and ran it lightly over my calluses and I have not had such nice feet in literally decades. I think my lotion has a shot at actually moisturizing my feet now. I have tried other pumice stones, shavers etc and nothing has come close.

OMG this is an amazing product that will transform your feet in ONE session! I haven't had such lovely and soft feet in years. I absolutely love this. I used on dry feet. Gentle, little by little. It didn't take a lot. Start with the rasp. I followed up with an electric callous remover to smooth the edges, then the smaller foot file in this set to polish feet to baby softness!! AMAZING!! I then rinsed my feet and promptly applied hyaluronic serum to attract moisture and topped with a rich foot cream and cozy cotton socks. Better than most pro pedis. So pleased. Be super careful not to apply too much pressure or go too deep (or too often) or you'll regret it, not just from pain, but from the body's natural defense callousing your feet!
