I bought them for microwave steam puddings . Just a perfect size and the lids are a bonus .

The lids stay on, no need for greaseproof tops. Stand in the slow cooker for cooking. Store in fridge or freezer, reusable when empty. What more could I ask for?

Difficult to assess proper sizing. They were too small so returned and reordered bigger size.

I used these molds to make steamed figgy puddings this holiday season (see an example in my picture). They worked fantastically, and I didn't have to waste tons of parchment and foil like in past years because the lids for these basins keep the water out. They also store the pudding nicely in the fridge after steaming. AND they reheat within the basin perfectly by microwave or steaming. I can't recommend enough. I'll probably have these for life!
