Works, but the battery didn’t fit properly!
I had to trim around the outer part of the battery, to get it to fit. The plastic was just a little too big, and the color was a cream color, not white like the rest of my macbook. For the money, I can’t complain.

The Jury is still out!!!
I've just gotten this battery as of yesterday. I'm not sure how it's working. So far it holds a charge for about 2 hours, and it does seem to communicate with the computer, shows when it's full and when it's going dead. It doesn't alert me when it's getting close to being empty. The computer just shuts down. That is annoying. My original Apple battery lasted 5 years with constant charging. I NEVER unplugged my computer from its charger, and the battery lasted 5 years and NEVER gave me a minute of trouble. I'll stop at a later date and let you know how this one compares. But I'm not holding out much hope. After all I only paid $20.00 for it, so if it works at all it will be good. Better than the $130.00 for an Apple Battery.Review Update: At the end of July I had to return the battery. It just flat out would not hold a charge of any kind. I thought about keeping it to use as a battery cover instead of having a gaping hole in the bottom of my computer, and leaving the computer plugged in all the time, but I was afraid the power going to the battery would eventually cause it to swell and cause problems, so I'm running my computer on corded power only. Good thing I don't move it anywhere. It will be cheaper for me to buy power cords and have them plugged in all around my house. But while the battery worked, it worked pretty good.

perfect in every way (so far)
I received the battery today. It fits perfectly in my white 2006 Apple MacBook. Plugged in the power cord and turned on the computer. Works fine. Several hours later the battery is fully charged and everything is still working great. So far so good. Hopefully it continues to work for many months and even years ahead. According to some other reviews I've read, (rumors only... not substantiated!) it may be that this battery will shut down abruptly when the reserve power gets low enough. The Apple-brand battery will allow the computer to shut itself down safely when the battery is very low. Supposedly this generic replacement battery will not support that function... but I cannot verify this for sure since I haven't tried it out. Since I saved well over $100 by purchasing a generic replacement, I figure that it's fine to just plan to shut the computer safely down myself if the power reserve gets below 6%. That's a small price of a tiny inconvenience to pay for saving so much money. Hey, for this price I can afford to buy four or five generic replacement batteries for the cost of just ONE Apple-brand battery. I can leave a few fully-charged ones around just in case I need them. VERY SATISFIED.

Inferior Lithium, Lasted Only Months instead of Years
These are the most poorly made computer batteries I have ever bought. The 1st one lasted a few months and the 2nd lasted less than 8-months before expanding. Obviously there where probably impurities in the lithium form subpar manufacturing. Wasted alot of time returning the 1st bad one, now probably can's return the 2nd one because it's been over 6-months. Probably won't be buying more batteries from amazon after this ordeal.

My MacBook was created in 2008 and I was surprised ...
My MacBook was created in 2008 and I was surprised when the battery swelled (August 2015). I did a little research and found that the swelled battery problem appeared to be a common failure. My local MacBook guru said, "Get over it and buy a replacement". The market place offered many, many choices and prices ranged from $8.00 to $120.00. Since I currently use the MacBook to run GoogleChrome it does not require a battery. MacBook does not respond to commands as quickly when the battery is missing. When I travel in the motorhome, MacBook is the take-a-long laptop. I decided to buy the battery replacement because it is a major contributor to the over all weight of MacBook, and to fill the large hole left in the bottom side of the machine. I ordered the battery from Beyond2015 (Order: 115-2996222-1927423 - $17.00). The new battery slide right in to the void and went to work getting a full charge on. The battery is functioning the same as the old battery. The old battery was taken to Home Depot for its funeral.

so I bought the 55WH battery and it works pretty good. I can get about 2 hours out ...
I needed, badly, a new battery for my macbook, because my old one expanded and had no life left. Apple products are very pricey and I didn't want to spend the money since my mac is from 2007 and I don't know how much life it has left, so I bought the 55WH battery and it works pretty good. I can get about 2 hours out of it, which I know isn't much, but it is definitely a nice change from my battery having to be plugged in 24/7. My mac is older so the battery might drain faster because I haven't taken my computer in to get it up to date. One review said they get 4 hours out of it, but I've been using it for 2 months now and I haven't had any problems with the battery. Good price for what you get.

Works fine for the price
I was expecting this battery to die very quickly from these reviews, but I decided to give it a go anyway since my other laptop was in for service and I needed to go out of town for a few days and I absolutely cannot take the old MacBook with its original battery (it would die out about 30 minutes after I unplug it). It came quickly, and to my surprise held charge for at least 4 hours. It's been a few months already, but it's still working fine and holding its charge. The first time I ordered it, it was from a different seller I believe but the same product and it came dented. However, I contacted the seller and they quickly offered a full refund (including shipping). The whole process took a few days, but in the end, I got my battery.
