Living a life as colorful and creative as Rachel Khoo—star of three BBC television series, author of bestselling cookbooks, illustrator, and international tastemaker—creates a constellation of ideas and inspiration. All of her gifts pack this exuberant more-than-a-cookbook, with its rounded corners and hefty notebook feel. Each turn of the page offers doable and delicious recipes, style-setting ideas from around the globe, 250 photographs, and Rachel's charming illustrations and engaging notes. Here's a cookbook unlike any other—one that brings a smile of surprise and delight every time it's opened. Review: Doesn’t Disappoint ❤️ - Having watched Rachel Khoo’s cooking program, I was immediately taken with her ability to take every day food items and turn them into works of scrumptious works of art. I was mesmerized by the fact she would make these wonderful dishes in this tiny NYC sized kitchen, minimal cookware & tools. Her book is filled with many beautiful photos from talented photographer David Loftus (check out his Instagram page - incredible) and lovely illustrations by Ms Khoo. These recipes are taken from her personal collection and are inspired from her cultural background. She’s lived in France & England and has taken many family memories to come up with her recipes here. Try the “One Tray Roast” which is so clean, simple and delicious to “Seafood Chili with Tortilla Bowls” which has a few more ingredients than you may normally have, but so delightful. Ms Khoo also is the queen of beautiful desserts. She has a great collection for every taste: “Black Forest Gâteau Bowls,” “Lemon Lava Cakes,” “Raw Fig Truffles” are some of my favorites. I highly recommend all her cookbooks. Review: Fun & Easy to Follow Recipes - I love this cookbook - I'm not much of a cook but after watching Rachel's London show, I wanted to get my hands on some of the recipes, as she made cooking look fun and effortless. The format includes a personal touch with photos from her travels - which gives the cookbook a personal touch almost as if a family member or friend shared their recipes with you. My first attempt will be to make her Strawberry & cream layer cake which looks absolutely delicious and perfect for a summer day. I highly recommend this cookbook, especially if you are a novice baker/cook like myself. Thank you Rachel Khoo for sharing your kitchen notebook with us!

Visually inspiring luscious recipes
Rachel Khoo has provided us with a lovely cookbook with clearly written recipes and gorgeous photographs of the food. I also like the tips that she provides with the recipes when there are parts that can be done ahead or if the recipe can be frozen for use later. The watercolor illustrations that she has done for the book make it look like it might be a notebook that she keeps for herself.

Delightful
This is one of the prettiest cookbooks I have ever owned, and you can tell how much love and effort the author put into it. I've tried a few of her recipes, and they are absolutely amazing! This is not just a cookbook, it is a work of art. Reading it is fun, and cooking from it is even better! I own other cookbooks by Rachel Khoo, but this one is one of my favorites!

Not my cup of tea...
I love watching Rachel Khoo's cooking shows on the Food Channel so I decided to order one of her cookbooks...turns out that was a mistake! I will probably not ever make one thing in this book. Many recipes have ingredients that wouldn't be readily available in my local stores and unlike the food she prepares on her show, many of the recipes featured in this book just didn't appeal to me. I have come to the conclusion that Rachel, herself, appeals to me more than her food. I love her accent and her enthusiasm for cooking is contagious. Her book? Not so much...

Complete with beautiful pictures
I get so tired of text only cook books. Sometimes I just want to see what the finished dish should look like. This book has amazing full color pictures of most every dish. So recipes are a little complicated but most are simple yet different from the norm. I highly recommend this book

RACHEL'S BEST BOOK TO DATE
I much prefer this format (and book) to The Little Paris Kitchen because it really is 'notebook style', full of lovely photographs and jottings which makes it very easy to flick through (not one of those cookbooks that will sit on your coffee table or shelf for months, unread). The recipes are very easily understandable because Rachel writes the same way as she talks: even a novice cook or baker could follow them because some are short (four or five little paragraphs), others are slightly longer but take your time and you'll get fab results. The star of the show has to be the Pistachio & Pomegranate Cake on Page 163 - it's easy to make and spectacular, no other way to put it. I love anything with pistachios in it and you can leave off the pomegranate if you're not a fan. It's gooey, crumbly, flavoursome and lasted about 15 seconds in my house but that just gave me the excuse to make another one. Several friends have asked me to make one for them, which is always the sign of a good cake! I'm an avid cookbook reader and collector/baker and this is one of those tomes that you just browse through and think: "Ooooh, I think I'll try that" and when you next have time, off you go. Do try this book. You won't regret it for a second.
