The fan will only run when needed, if the inverter starts to get hot.

What if the Output Voltage is low?

The power in your home is a smooth sine wave, but this inverter is a "modified sine wave". Because of this, you need a meter that measures true RMS voltage. If your meter is not a true RMS meter, it will give a reading that’s too low.

Why does my outlet tester show ‘open ground’ when I plug it into the inverter?

Outlet testers are made for testing normal utility power in your home, where neutral and ground are connected in the fuse box. Inverters are wired differently -- it’s normal for a tester to show open ground, and doesn't mean your inverter is faulty.

Does it matter where I mount my inverter?

Your power inverter isn’t weatherproof, so install it where it's protected from heat and moisture. Leave at least 1 inch of space around it for ventilation. You can mount it in any position -- horizontal, vertical, or upside-down.
