Great replacement! I needed these because I lost the original stylus that came with my New Nintendo 3DS. Please note that the model of your 3DS is very important when ordering replacement a replacement stylus like these. Nintendo altered the size and design slightly with each revision of the 3DS, so the original 3DS, 3DS XL, New 3DS, and New 3DS XL all have slightly different stylus's. Make sure you order the right one for your specific handheld.

The original stylus for one of our children's Nintendo DS systems slipped out of the unit and was permanently lost. I was told the styluses were hard to find, so I turned to Amazon to see if I could find a replacement. I read the reviews, because I didn't want to get a replacement that would slide out of the unit the way the previous one did, and I learned the slippage was fairly common with certain styluses, but that this particular stylus wouldn't slide out. An order was placed, and this product has worked out as described. I would highly recommend it! You get a package of three, which is convenient in the event you have more than one system that needs a stylus or if you happen to drop things and lose them and need a replacement. I should add, too, that the order came on time and in good condition.

firstly, because this seems to be the biggest gripe - these styluses are for the "NEW NINTENDO 3DS", not the older metallic "Nintendo 3DS" or the larger "New Nintendo 3DS XL". yes, the confusion is mostly nintendo's fault, but sometimes it's important to read listings carefully and do research if you're unsure what it is you're buying. i have a NEW NINTENDO 3DS, which i purchased pre-owned with a missing stylus. this listing is the only one i've been able to find for this model at a normal price, and not ridiculously gouged or discontinued on other sites, which was a big plus already! the product arrived safely and in its original packaging, and it fits my NEW NINTENDO 3DS perfectly. as a disclaimer - i don't know how the original stylus fit in the console, since i'd never had one, but these replacements are a little fickle in that the flat head doesn't align perfectly with the notches on the system. it's definitely only a minor annoyance, and doesn't keep the styluses from staying put at all. the only thing that made me knock a star off of these is that mine came with manufacturing errors - the head of the red stylus seems to have gotten smashed during production, and the white one has a cleft in a similar area. the faults don't impede its use in any way, so there's no need to exchange them.

Dosent fit my red 3DS, it's too long. It seems to be for the 3DS XL...

It’s okay. Does the job. Small but does not fit in the hole for the ds. In other words it doesn’t click into the hole.

Fits well, works with touch screen, comes in different colors - I mean it’s everything you need. NOTE: STOP ONE STARRING A PRODUCT WHEN YOU DIDN’T WHAT IT’S FOR. It is for the *new* Nintendo 3ds NOT the XL. It will be TOO SMALL for the XL. There is a regular n3ds and the XL variant. READ before you BUY!

I've been searching for a new 3ds stylus to replace my old one as I lost it a long time ago. These ones fit perfectly for the new 3ds and it's amazing!

This is NOT compatible with the New 3DS XL. I'm not sure how I missed the bad reviews stating it doesn't fit. It is too slim and got stuck in the slot requiring me to open the backplate to remove it. Update: I guess I messed up. This is for the "New 3DS" not the "New 3DS XL".
