First, I'd like to say that I tried a rhinestone applique piece for my dryer. That did not go well. I chose to purchase this silicone sleeve as opposed to a pretty printed sticker for my Dyson because after the disaster with the rhinestones, I just wanted something that would function as a protectant. It arrived in the mail, and I put on the top piece with ease. Attempting the bottom piece was discouraging. I watched a tutorial on getting it on the device, but the tutorial had a different type of plug than what my dryer uses. Like so many other reviews say, though, it IS possibly to get the sleeve on. It actually didn't take too long- mostly, I flipped it in and out until I got it where I wanted it- but my fingers were so sore afterwards! I am happy to report that it is now on and looks great. Very nice to the touch, and I believe it was worth the cost and the elbow grease. My Dyson model was just purchased and is the Vinca Blue and Rose; I bought the black silicone cover, and I really like the look.

I have no idea about the long term, where this review is about the installation process. In short I used a spray bottle with dish soap added to the water to spray on the protector. Clearly the hardest part to clear is the GFI protector with the plug. Taking a hint from another review, taped the pins with electrical tape to blunt the sharp edges. Folded the protector back on itself to guard from tearing at the holes. Clearly the soapy water helps a lot. I left the cardboard protection around the box in the middle of the cable, puling the protector entirely onto the cardboard still folded back on itself. Then I slid the cardboard protector up with the protector on top of the cardboard. Once clear of the box I tore the cardboard removing it from inside of the protector. Getting the protector around the bottom of the Dyson was simple by just adding more soapy water. The top protector goes on easy using the process shown in the seller's video.

The thing fits on perfectly if u don’t rip it after a couple tries through the cable, after multiple attempts and a cut on my finger, I got it through the brick prongs and it fit perfectly on the handle. My best advice is to compact fold it together and stretch it through the brick and you should be good to go, I can see how someone can definitly rip it trying to get it through as the prongs as it almost tore through the silicone so just be careful and you should be able to get it on.

I have a recent Dyson Hair Dryer with the large plug and power adapter thing and was able to get the handle part over both. It is a tight squeeze, but it will stretch over both. Just take your time pulling it over each. It does protect your dryer from scratches and dirt for sure. Good Buy for those who don't want covers that have fancy stones and such!

Top part, great! Bottom could barely stretch over power supply. Once on, it just spins around, over the buttons and makes it hard to grip

If using it for at home blow dryer it’s decent. Will protect from dings. But doesn’t have the best grip. For salon use it’s to slippery for the grip and if your blow dryer fits perfect in blow dryer hole, then with this on it will not fit anymore. Another thing it comes in two pieces, head and the handle. Head goes on easy. But the handle i had to turn it inside out to slip it on but it did not rip. Hope this helps.

I was apprehensive about purchasing because of the reviews which said it was so difficult to get on. Well there's a trick I found. It's actually very easy to get on if you do it this way. It's hard to describe, but when you are pulling this silicone skin over the plug instead of trying to keep it exactly how it should go on, pull start to put it on, and then when it gets difficult, start pulling it from the bottom up so you almost turn it inside out and it'll slide right on and And then it will be inside out and you will have to flip it right side in again. I hope that makes sense but if you try to keep it in the proper direction while pulling it over the big plug base it will be extremely difficult. But if you stop and start pulling it from the bottom so that it overlaps itself it goes right on with no issues. Hope this helps! Well worth the money to protect my investment I love it!

I was worried after reading reviews…but with their help I took my time and was careful, great fit and made my scratched up Dyson look much better and easier grip…with the small price tag!!!
