desertcart.com: Xlear SparX Sugar-Free Xylitol Hard Candy - On The Go Oral Care for Dry Mouth, Increase Saliva Production, Non-GMO, Gluten-Free - Variety Pack 1.06 Ounce (Pack of 18) : Grocery & Gourmet Food Review: Love Xlear products - Sparx candies are truly a guilt-free treat! Natural colors and flavors, a convenient container to carry them in, what's not to love? Sweet and tasty, great for the teeth, a great way to pacify my sweet tooth without promoting cavities. Since I started having xylitol candy throughout the day, I have not had any new cavities! 3 years now! They're great when I feel sleepy on a long driving trip, too. They don't have caffeine or anything like that, but the very low glycemic number that xylitol has, apparently, gives me a mild energy boost that keeps me more alert, compared to other higher glycemic snacks that I used to consume. And did I mention how great they are for my Grandchildren? They just love them, and I love knowing I'm possibly helping their teeth, too! I love the Spry mints, too! Review: What a great find. - The pack comes with 3 different options - citrus, berry, and fruit. The package arrived quickly and the flavors are good. I always wondered why tic tacs have never made a sugar free (tooth friendly) variety. Well this product is just what I was looking for, and it is a great alternative to always having to chew gum after meals. We all know that eating sweets with no sugar is better for our teeth, but I was looking for Xylitol specifically, because I have been reading it is more effective at reducing tooth decay than other sugar alternatives, and who doesn't want that?!. However when I scoured the shops, I couldn't find any candy made with xylitol - it was all splenda and maltitol. I am very happy to have found this product. (I also bought a whole lot of xylitol candy (caramel and chocolate) from Dr Johns which will be arriving soon, and I am looking forward to seeing how their products compare.)

Not Great, Not Awful
Three stars is supposed to mean, "It's OK," and that's exactly how I feel about this Xlear SparX Mixed Xylitol Candy pack. It's not great, it's not awful, it just sort of is. The candy itself is shaped like tiny pebbles - about half the size of a Tic Tac - and all the ones we have had are a bit softer than traditional hard candy. The flavors are supposed to be Berry, Citrus and Fruit, but honestly, I had to look up what the individual flavors were supposed to be. The candies just taste sweet and sort of vaguely reminiscent of artificially flavored medicine. If these weren't supposed to be good for your teeth or diabetic-friendly, I can't imagine anyone bother to seek them out. My daughter, who is nearly two and horrible about brushing her teeth, was my inspiration for seeking out xylitol candies. I figured they would be a good treat in lieu of traditional sugar-based sweets. (Another reviewer was concerned about the size of the candies for young children - unless your kid is just learning to eat and you are concerned about aspirating food, I doubt it would be a problem. These aren't choking size; they'd be swallowed whole.) She likes them well enough, though if given the choice we both prefer the taste of Ice Chips Real Lemon. I should mention, too, that if you are just trying xylitol sweetened candies, please start slowly. They can cause digestive upset if too much is eaten. With these, we haven't had any problems, but we also consume them pretty sparingly, with one tube lasting us a week or two. Overall, though I won't be tossing the ones I bought, I won't be buying Xlear again. Xylitol candy is just fine, but these lack the flavor to make them enjoyable. We will buy Ice Chips brand instead.

but it is a nice treat after
All three flavors are yummy and they help keep my son's teeth clean. I get the large pack to keep the price down. I used these to bribe him into brushing his teeth when he was 2 and going through a phase. Now he is more willing to brush his teeth, but it is a nice treat after.

Citrus is by far the best flavor, others are just ok.
This is good candy but some of the flavors don't mix well with the Xylitol cooling effect. I think it's safe to say that most people will find the citrus mix to be far more pleasant that the fruit and berry mixes. Given the low price of buying in bulk I'd recommend this pack but if you want just a few to test order the citrus only in smaller quantities.

Brilliant for Keto Diet
I'm on the Keto diet, and these are the perfect sweet for me to munch on that will not spike my glycemic index. I'm a huge fan of the Berry flavors. The Citrus flavors are okay. I'm actually not a huge fan of the Banana ones in the Fruit Flavors tube, so I fish all of those out and eat the remaining 2 flavors in those tubes, which are great. Great to keep in your pocket all day, or for bringing to the movies when you want that sweet, guilt-free movie snack!

Much better than eating candy with sugar
Much better than eating candy with sugar. The flavors are really good as well. I takes these to keep my mouth from drying out (due to some meds I take) and I can use these as needed without worrying about a sugar overload, and they taste just as great! I highly recommend the bulk pack as well if you need to have something to keep the saliva flowing and your mouth moist.

Good for your teeth โ not your tounge
These candies are great for one reason: they're good for your teeth. If they were normal "sugar" candy, I wouldn't eat them. The flavors are a bit funky โ especially the green tubes โ but all in all, they're tolerable and grow on you after awhile. The pink berry-flavored tubes are, in my opinion, the best tasting. Be careful with them, though. Eating too much xylitol can give you a tummy ache and make you feel a bit drab. I wouldn't recommend more than 1/4 of a tube per day (lesson learned the hard way). I believe you build up a tolerance over time, though. To get the most benefit to your teeth from these candies, suck โ don't chew โ on one at a time over the course of an hour or so. That will give your teeth a nice steady dose of xylitol.
