Comfortable, Tall, and Easy to Set Up - Great Guest Bed
I bought the Intex Queen Dura-Beam air mattress for guests and it has worked out really well so far. Setup is super easy thanks to the built-in pumpโjust plug it in and it inflates quickly without any extra effort.Once fully inflated, itโs actually more comfortable than I expected. The 22-inch height makes it feel closer to a real bed, which guests really appreciate since itโs easier to get in and out of compared to lower air mattresses. It does have that typical air mattress feel, but the Dura-Beam support helps it stay fairly stable through the night. I did notice it needs a quick top-off of air after the first use or two, which seems normal as the material stretches out.Overall, itโs been great for temporary sleeping arrangements. Itโs comfortable, convenient, and easy to store when not in use. For the price, itโs a solid option if you need a reliable extra bed for guests or travel.

Skeptical at first, but after first use (so far) itโs a solid product
I initially bought this to stay at my MILโs senior community (to help her get settled), so I didnโt want to spend a lot of money on it and I planned to leave it for other relatives that might want to visit. I expected it to be cheap-ish quality and probably not last through my two week stay.First off, set up was a breeze. I laid it out and started inflation and it took about 4-5 minutes to fully inflate. The motor made noise, but itโs to be expected from something like thisโI can say that it wasnโt as noisy as our Costco-bought mattress.Second, itโs bigโbut thatโs not a bad thing as much as I thought anyway after I saw it fully inflated. Turns out, for me, itโs a good thing. Our Costco mattress sits low to the floor and as it deflates a bit during the night, itโs tough to get up. This one (the 22โ model and the largest one at this writing) is wonderful as I can sit on the edge of it and stand up easily. Your experience may be different, but for older folks it makes it really easy to get out of bed in the morning. How does it sleep? Well, since I was visiting by myself and my significant other wasnโt with me, I can only speak for a single sleeper. It was really comfortable! It did take a bit of tweaking though as I thought I would like it more firm as I like to side sleep. The first couple of nights were a bit rough as I tossed and turned a bit in my sleepโI found that I couldnโt get comfortable on my side. For the reviews that say that it deflates after sleeping on it, I can say that it did seem to lose some air after the first two nights. The manufacturer does state that it does โstretchโ and not deflate. As I wanted to test that statement, I didnโt change the firmness of it by re-inflating it to where I had it. The third and fourth nights were better sleep and I didnโt feel like the mattress deflated at all, so I found the stretch statement to be validโit wasnโt losing air. After that night, I re-inflated it to where I thought Iโd like it. The next night was the same tossing and turning that I had those first two nights, so I concluded that I needed to make it less firm and I actually DEflated it a bit and for the rest of the stay it was perfect! I didnโt have to touch it and I even unplugged it.When I was getting ready to leave, I started the deflation process by turning the dial in the opposite direction. It took longer to deflate, so I walked away for a bitโIโd guess about 7-8 minutes. When I came back the mattress was flat as a pancake and ready to fold. This is the only hassle of the process as folding it to get it into the storage bag and back into the box (for storage). I do like the tote that they provide as the handles make it easy to lug about. So, the first use was a success. If repeated uses reveal issues, Iโll report back. I will say that I plan to buy another one to replace our beloved Costco air mattressโsheโs showing her age and the height of this one as well as the cost make it a no-brainer to get it as a second. Weโll use this one until it dies (if it even does) and then fall back on our old one if needed. I gave an overall 5 stars for the product with 4 stars for sleep quality and comfort only because your idea of these two might be a bit of a learning experience until you find your inflation sweet spotโso itโs not just an โinflate fully and useโ type of scenario.

Better than our actual mattress!!
Purchased for company to stay with us in our apartment. I honestly had no idea they made air mattresses this tall until I saw a friend with one!My husband and I tested it out last night. We were both really impressed!1. Really easy to inflate! First time having an internal air pump. No more forgetting the pump! The motor wasnโt nearly as loud as our previous air pump! I was able to talk to my husband and he could still hear me over the pump running.2. Really comfortable and supportive! We chose not to inflate it fully so it contoured to our bodies better. We slept on the mattress with no sheets and I wasnโt able to feel the creases in the top which was nice. No issues with sagging and we both didnโt wake up smooshed in the middle. My husband got up in the middle of the night and I didnโt notice. So movement of the mattress is minimal! Easy to get on and off with the 22โ height.3. Easy to deflate! We followed the instructions for folding and we got it in the storage bag with no issues. Just make sure all of the air is out before you fold it.4. High quality! We had both of our small dogs on this with us. I was afraid of their nails poking a hole but so far so good! Only a little bit of air leaked out but it couldโve been the material stretching out during the night.Cons: The pump does not shut off automatically when inflating or deflating. So keep an eye on it so it doesnโt overfill. The mattress does get cold at night. My husband and I both mentioned that in the morning. I had to roll up in my blanket to stay warm. Iโll try sheets on next time. In the summer it might not be that big of an issue. Ours came with one patch. Hopefully we wonโt need to use it.

Comfortable, high-rise air mattress with built-in pump
The Intex Dura-Beam 22-inch Queen air mattress is one of the better inflatable beds I've used. The built-in pump is very convenient โ no need for an external pump or battery-powered inflator. It inflates to full firmness in a few minutes and deflates just as quickly. The 22-inch height makes it easy to get in and out of, similar to a regular bed height. The plush comfort top adds a softer surface feel. The 600 lb weight capacity is reassuring for heavier users or couples. I've had guests sleep on this for multiple nights and they reported sleeping well. It held air overnight without significant deflation. My only note is to store it carefully to avoid punctures from sharp objects. Overall a great value for guests or camping.

From an IDOO 18" to this Intex 22" queen air mattress
I have been sleeping on air mattresses for about 5 years now. Yes, every night. The reason is that I cannot afford a decent new mattress and before switching to an air mattress, I had used mattresses. Most developed "sink holes" and those who sleep on an older mattress know what I mean - a spring or something inside has shifted and that spot...well, it's a dip that you have to figure out how to avoid when sleeping. But the basic reason is because I am an older lady that lives alone and when I have moved, I have moved myself so as not to bother people. I have mostly flat pack furniture so I can break it down and move it myself. Having an air mattress fits right in with that ease of moving my own stuff. The IDOO I had was a great deal, though I had last had a King Coil 22" that I really liked EXCEPT for their "pillow" area (the part at the head is inclined and that bothered me since I am an "arm sleeper" - put one arm up under my pillow, under my head and hang it off the bed). Other than that part King Coil is a great air mattress bed. Now for this Intex - I have had a couple of different Intex items and find they make quality stuff - first was a smaller, rectangular pool that wasn't too hard to set up (but I did need a friend to help with putting it up) and I currently have their inflatable loveseat that unfolds to become a bed. It's a nice extra piece of furniture/bed, but wish it had the internal pump which it doesn't. Still, it is a serviceable spare seating and sleeping piece that can be put up quickly enough. NOW, for this bed - back to my 22" height and I am SO HAPPY with that part of it. When you are older, getting UP off something is harder than scooting down off that same thing! Meaning that I have no problem getting on a bed (no matter what the height), but in the morning, when I'm groggy and not 100%, trying to push myself up off the 18" wasn't horrible, but it wasn't fun at all. With this Intex 22" queen, my feet dangle just a bit off the floor and pushing myself off and DOWN is just so much easier. I was also relieved that the pump is at the top (or could be the bottom, depending on how you orient the bed) as my outlet is at that spot on the wall behind the bed. The IDOO had the pump on the side so the cord had to be put up under the bed...I didn't like that. This Intex, like all the air mattresses with an internal pump, it inflates (and deflates) very quickly. Around 5 minutes. What's easy is taking down an air mattress - most of them come with a carry case as this one did - and if you flip the sides in, then do a fourths fold up, it will fit in the bag and isn't too terribly heavy even for me to carry. The IDOO developed a leak and instead of trying to patch it, as I have slept on it for about 2 years, I deflated it, put it in the bag it came with and threw it away. This Intex, I had it out of the box an fully inflated in less than 10 minutes. Made the bed and laid down on it - aaahhhh! So, if you are in need of a spare bed for overnight guests on occasion OR you have had it with your lumpy old "regular" mattress and having sticker shock over the memory foam, purple, pillow top and other replacements, you might want to try an air mattress. Even if you only use it long enough to save enough money for one of those $500-$1000 mattress, this $75 mattress will allow you to sleep well, night after night after night.

Decent value for the money for short term use.
Edited after some 2 months: After some 2 months I have to pump daily and even then I cant get the same firmness as I use to get before. Now it seems to leak as I pump it, which is probably why it never becomes firm even if I pump for some 2 mins to add extra air. Looks like a micro leak somewhere. I am tired of pumping daily. I can still return it. But it is a hassle to put it back in the box. You can never ever put any product back in its back as the manufacturer did. So I am going to just toss this junk. Don't know if it is a defect in just my air mattress or this is how this product will work as many have reported leaking.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Earlier review: I bought this based on all the good reviews. Not bad for the money. I noticed that it keeps losing air over a few days. Once a week I have to run the pump for some 45s to 1min. Not sure if there is any hole. It has been a month and so I don't think it is stretching. May be the valve itself is leaking a bit. It is not like the seal of the International Space Station. So, I can expect some leak. It may be ok for a temporary use like a few days. Not as a permanent mattress. There is no auto stop or no way to know what is the internal pressure and when to stop the pump. So I do by feel. Cant expect all those features at this price point.Nope, deflating a bit does not make it feel softer. There is no pillow top kind of cushion. It is just rubber. So it is going to feel firm regardless of the pressure. With low pressure it just sinks more. Even if it is well inflated it sinks at the middle as seen in the image, like a regular mattress. Since there is no cushion, the elbow hurts if I rest the elbow on my side on the mattress. So I have to use some mattress topper.I didn't like the raised edge all around. What is the purpose? At the head side, may be some people like it to keep the pillow raised. But not everyone wants it.It can't be set flush with the wall as it is curved and has a belly. So small items like gloves, cap etc can get into the gap. See the gap in the image. It is just impossible to put the wire back. May be a bigger hole for the wire would be better. The cover stays open and in a tight space it is a hassle as your foot keeps hitting the cover. My foot hit hard and the cover just came off. May be it is a removable cover. So it is OK. See the image.Anyway... Will see how long it lasts. If I get tired of inflating every few days, I will toss it

Sleeps Like a Real Bed - Best Air Mattress I've Ever Owned!
I picked up the Intex 64417ED 22-inch Queen Dura-Beam Comfort air mattress for hosting out-of-town guests and I am completely blown away by how comfortable and well built this thing is. At 22 inches tall, it sits at the same height as a regular bed frame which makes getting on and off incredibly easy - no more struggling up from the floor like with cheaper air mattresses!

Great purchase!!
Love this air mattress, now have 2. Inflation is quick and easy and same to put away. The height is great almost like sitting on a chair. Perfect for extra house guests. Holds air all night. Very durable! I have 5 dogs all sizes that love them as well and I don't have to worry about them making holes. Take them camping as well.

Love this Mattress!
4 stars only because I rarely give anything 5. I highly recommend this air mattress. I ve been using in a basement apt for 7mths, so temperature fluctuates, I have only added air 1x/mth. You can adjust the firmness to your need an it is easy to clean with a vacuum or a rolling clothes cleaner. The best part for me is it is the height of a regular bed. Unfortunately, I used a heating pad consistently for a bit so 1 row of of mattress popped up... but even then it's had no effect on the comfort or reliability. Great purchase, would by again!
