Don't order the electronic version
I ordered the kindle version for class and feel as if I wasted my money. It is a challenge to follow. The format is awkward. The page numbers do not show on the pages and the text for one page is broken over many pages depending on the size of the font. It is not structured as other textbooks that I have purchased, where enlarging the font of the text does not interfere with the layout of the page. It is structured more like a novel. Maybe the newer edition is better. Can't really speak on the content as I've stopped trying to make sense of it.

Great beginners book for JMP
The book is very helpful. Each chapter spends sometime explaining the underlying concepts and the dives into step by step instructions for performing the actions in JMP. The one drawback is that the in chapter file references don't match up 100% to the downloadable content posted by the authors so you have to do some digging around to figure out what sample data file to use if you want to actively follow along. The authors need to go through and match up the downloaded able content as its described in the book.

It is not a good textbook. It lacks way too much relevant information
This book was co-written by one of the professors that teaches in our university. I guess that is why we had to purchase it for the class. It is not a good textbook. It lacks way too much relevant information. And some of the covered topics are incomplete. I would not recommend this book. Just use youtube or JMP "manuals" on the website

Good book but poor electrconic version --Please fix!!!
The table of contents and the start of each chapter is distorted and cannot be used. The kindle version of this book is only 50% useful.

Great guide for beginners and rusty practitioners.
Fundamentals of Predictive Analytics with JMP covers the key concepts extraordinarily well via examples and clever well written explanations. The sections on decision trees and neural networks are especially good and those alone are worth the price of the book. The use of JMPs Graph Builder as well as screenshots makes the text very useful for self teaching and review. The book masterfully strikes the right balance between accessibility for a beginner and thorough enough for an advanced analyst seeking a refresher in key concepts and their deployment with JMP. All in all an excellent book.
