At first, when I used them, they were totally fine when I was being very gentle with them, but for one of the hair bows I was making, I adhered the alligator clip onto the back of the bow and noticed that I accidentally got a bit of hot glue on the tip of the hair clip, so as I tried to pick it off of the metal clip backing with my fingernail, the entire top part of the hair clip (the part that opens so that you can clip it onto your hair) completely SNAPPED IN HALF, and I wasn't even applying very much pressure to it at all. I bent it back into shape, but there's no telling how long that will hold because the metal was bent back pretty far and I imagine it is fragile nowβ€”because when I bent it back into shape, I could feel that part of the hair clip becoming weaker, like it might just snap right apart. So I had to redo the entire hair bow which wasted an hour of my life when I could have just been done with it. So although these alligator hair clips are priced very reasonably, I'm not sure that it's worth the money you save if they are going to be as flimsy as these are. If you don't mind that, then by all means, buy as many of them as you'd like. But if you want more sturdy, durable, alligator hair clips, please look elsewhere and perhaps spend a bit more on the clips. Because I feel like I would have thought it was worth it, and I wouldn't have had to deal with the back of the metal clips completely breaking in half and making them useless. But, by all means, if you don't mind cheaply-made items, these may be perfect for you.
