I had the same make of cup years ago, but the lid got broken. This one is a better shape and the lock button seems more sturdy. I also like the dip down to the outlet hole, so any excess fluid flows straight back. They've definitely improved on the last one I had. I'm thinking of buying another one as a spare. Oh, and no leakage at all. I had it bouncing around in my back pack for a few hours today. Perfect and stull hot/ warm enough to drink my tea.

Bought this as a gift for a friend who has recently got a job. Wow! Think I will buy one for myself! This is an executive hot beverage receptacle. Looks amazing and did keep boiled water hot for over 10 hours. Very impressive. Not sure how it would hold up if taken outside, but looking at it close up.... it belongs in the cup holder of your car, and on your executive desk for all to see. You get what you pay for! Looks fantastic and works really well.

Having previously owned another contigo mug that lasted me 3 years it was a no Brainer to stick to the brand. Being a builder the mug had its fair share of drops but lasted well, kept the drink hot for a few hours until one day the rubber seal of the lid deteriorated and it was time to buy a new one. I loved the design of the new mug, I chose the blue colour. I’ve owned it for 3 months now and it’s pretty good. there are no spills from the lid, I like the the function of pressing the button to open it to take your drink. I find it better for short journeys as the drink cools enough to drink from. Previous mug would be too hot to drink, still after an hour. What’s not to like about the mug is it doesn’t stay hot for long. At 2 hours from making your hot drink it’s lukewarm. A little disappointing considering the price. I like having a brew as you do, having a sip of a hot drink while I work, especially While working outside in the cold, the old mug was brilliant for this. Pros Stylish design with no spills. This mug does not spill and the lock ensures accidental opening doesn't occur. You could carry this in a bag worry-free (vent first - see below). Very satisfied with this mug. Practicalities: If you're filling it with a piping hot drink, make sure you vent the mug within a few minutes, covering the lock opening with your hand to catch spray, if any. The leakproof nature of the mug means steam has nowhere to go. Hand-wash to keep the seal as best as possible. The bottom is not rubberised so it will slip about unlike other mugs, but if it is sealed properly, no spill.

Well made, easy to use and pleasant to drink from. I like the fact that it is completely leakproof once the lid is locked. Doesn’t keep drinks hot for more than about 3 hrs but I use it around the house so not a problem. Great way of using up surplus water in the kettle once boiled. I sip hot water throughout the day so this works a treat!

Good cup, keeps drinks hot and is secure with no spills. Only issue is the black paint/covering on the outside of the mug is flaking and pealing off even though it states good for dishwasher it doesn't seem to like that, or hot water too much.

It almost holds a 500ml bottle of water. Great lid that keeps the straw clean and a brilliant locking device which means it can't be accidentally opened in your bag. Keeps my water at my ideal temperature and great for hiking with the dog, I just unscrew the lid and pour into the dog bowl so she can have a cool drink too. Doesn't leak and looks great.

Absolutely amazing leakproof flask you can also sip from. I can lock it and throw it in the pram without any worry if scalding spills. Had it over a year now and it's great. I came back here to see if there was a cup attachment or addon as I'll be taking it on holiday and would be nice to offer tea out in the snow.

Very nice. But this is not much strong. If it fall, there will be dent. So need to take care of it.

Love these mugs but they are very expensive. I bought some in Costco years ago at half the price. They wash well in the dishwasher but they do loose the colour layer after a couple of years of dishwasher use; the stainless steel underneath the colour layer is also nice and smooth; they are quite durable. They keep my tea hot for a couple of hours and they fit in most cup holders quite well. They hold about 1.5 cup. I have never used them for cold liquids, just tea. Once my husband used one for his coffee and I could smell the coffee later on. Smell went away after a couple of washes.

Good but hard to clean

This mug has a few minor flaws. The stainless steel lead gets cold quickly in cold weather or in front of air-conditioning. It will not be a pleasant experience to put it into your leaps when it is cold and the content is hot. The release button is small and in an awkward position. I have the older/cheaper model, Contigo West Loop Autoseal Thermal Mug, which has a better design, and I still prefer that model. Otherwise, it is sturdy and the leakproof mechanism works. I returned this item.
