How is it secured to stay down at the bottom? Is it weighted?

No, it's not; I have anchored all four corner with white stones wrapped in a netting material to minimize blowing inward. I utilized the ties attached at the bottom of each corner. Net fits 10x10 perfectly it just isn't long enough and leaves a 6" gap at the bottom.

Can this be installed on any gazebo?

As long as you have four pillars, yes

Which one is more sturdy - black ties or black O-ring?

Mosquitoe netting.

Well made netting. I've had it for awhile now and it's held up great! Definitely worth the money. I had it on my 10'x 10' but now have it on my gazebo. Would highly recommend.
