I am an avid tea drinker and actually am a tea blogger. I have probably 20-30 different ways vessels to steep tea. Depending on exactly what type of tea you are drinking will determine what kind of infuser you use. This infuser is probably one of the better multi tea infusers I've used!(1) The basket has a nice mesh that will not allow the smaller teas that include herbals or inclusions in the blends to end up in your cuppa. Basically the mesh makes it harder for your tea to escape.(2) The infuser has a nice wide open that fits most every mug, even larger mugs. The infuser also is quite deep allowing tea to expand while the tea is steeping meaning you can use this infuser for larger teas like oolongs that need the room to expand.(3) Easy to clean- The infuser is made so that with a quick wipe of your fingers and just a bit of elbow grease, the infuser is clean and ready to go for your next session. That is not always the case with a good majority of the infusers on the market.(4) There is a nice silicone/metal drip tray that is included in the set allowing you the ability to steep your tea and with little mess, set it aside for another steeping. You could also use the drip tray as a cover but since you want to allow the tea to breath to steep, I wouldn't recommend using the cover while steeping the tea.(5) You do get two samples of tea with your infuser. I can't say that I was fond of the teas provided but what I do like is that they were teas that beginner tea drinkers may not be aware of and now they are given the ability to check them out.All in all, really like this infuser and it has been a great one to keep at work.This product was received at a discount in exchange for my honest review. I love drinking loose-leaf tea. I have always been fascinated and really enjoy using the Tea-ball. I have wondered in the past if allowing the tea to float more freely through the cup would affect the taste and or outcome of the strength of the tea. When I found this product I was first of all grateful that someone had invented it and second of all super curious to try it.To my dismay but not surprise it does not seem to change the flavor of the tea once it’s completely steeped simply meaning that my theory was wrong after all, but it is a nice change from the tea-ball. There is nothing wrong with steeping your tea in a ball of course and I still do but I love the infuser because I can also add pieces of fruit to the tea as it’s steeping and that really seems to enhance the flavor.Another great thing about this product is that it comes with a rubber lid. The lid does not fit tightly onto the infuser, which you do not need it to and it is obviously not intended to but, it does help the steeping process, and it keeps the bottom of my tea plates cleaner.Another thing I love about this product is that I’m not limited to an amount of tea to make so although I believe it is designed to sit inside of a mug as it does perfectly, if you desire to make a larger amount of tea using this infuser, simply place two pieces of tape one on either side of the lid and rest it on the side of a large pitcher or you can float it if you’d rather.I’m sure there are better ways to do this thing using tape but that was my experience so I thought I would make a note. I would recommend this infuser to anyone and keep in mind the possibilities for use of this product are endless.I received this product at a discount in exchange for an unbiased and honest review. these are excellent infusers, liked it so much that I bought 2 I am truly impresed with the smallness of the mesh, extremely functional and these work great as gifts BTW the sample teas included are great tasting swill

This is a top-notch tea infuser! I highly recommend it. Please see my video for a close up look of how well it works. From the stock photos included on the Amazon page I had a hard time telling how big or small the infuser is. It turned out to be much larger than what I anticipated which I was really happy about and hoped for. It is the perfect size for an individual mug of tea. I have purchased and used half a dozen tea infusers, from very basic/inexpensive ones to higher quality/higher priced ones like the Bodum I own, and this one is by far my favorite one.What I Love:-Arrives in a nice box. Nice enough that you could buy this as a gift and wrap it or just place a bow on it and it would be ready to go. I would not hesitate to buy this as a gift for the tea-lover in your life.-Comes with two tea samples. Each one is enough for one cup of tea. The box does also recommend mixing them for an even better flavor.-Silicone lid which doubles as a coaster.-Easy to open and close. No tugging or prying to get the lid off.-Most importantly, my favorite aspect, is the wonderful fine mesh that keeps your loose leaf tea in the infuser and keeps particles out of your tea! So many tea infusers let tons of residue into the mug and by the last few sips you're trying really hard to avoid them or you just throw away the last few sips because there are so many particles floating around.I, like you, rely on heavily on Amazon reviews when deciding what to purchase.
