Sudden death hold power!
I’ve tried several products for styling my handlebar mustache, and this is by far one of the best. It provides a strong hold without feeling stiff or flaky, and it keeps the curls in place throughout the day. The application is easy, and a small amount goes a long way. What I appreciate most is that it allows me to achieve a clean, symmetrical curl while still looking natural. Even after hours of work, eating, and being outdoors, my mustache maintains its shape with minimal touch-ups. If you’re looking for a product that delivers reliable hold, great texture, and helps create a sharp, professional handlebar mustache, I highly recommend giving this one a try.

GREAT STUFF!
This stuff is THE BOMB! It works great! I am very happy with this product. Yes it does have a very strong hold which is what I wanted. You get a small tool which looks like a guitar pick to scrape the wax from the container which then allows you to get the wax between your fingertips and apply it to your mustache. It costs more than some other stache waxes, but its worth it. To me its unscented or I can't detect a scent. So no problem there. Its not medicinal smelling. YES, when I'm ready for more stache wax, I will be purchasing this again.

Husband’s Favorite
The hold on this mustache wax is seriously impressive. It keeps everything in place all day without feeling too stiff or heavy. It’s easy to work with and gives a clean, well-groomed look without much effort. Definitely a solid choice if you want something reliable that actually does what it promises!

Great product
It holds the mustache really well and keeps it in place for hours, but it can leave some residue. Sometimes it looks perfect at first, but after a few minutes, it turns the mustache a bit white, which can be annoying. Other than that, it works great and smells nice.

EXACTLY the right amount of hold and ease of use!
Summary: Whether you're training a long term mustache for the first time or you're participating in a Movember contest, you will love this wax! It's not prohibitively expensive, but it packs a huge value for the price and doesn't leave you feeling like you wasted money on another speculative product that only half works. Background: This is my third year growing out a Chevron (5 months on, 5 months off), and I have a 50-70% filled mustache with medium coarse hair, so being able to style it effectively and hold while not looking greasy or out of place is extremely important to me. I usually use wax, a blow dryer and a boar hair brush to get the perfect style, and need a semi-strong hold for both daily wear and regular hair training. Hold: I would say this is a medium/strong hold. It gets exponentially stiffer the more you use, but it's easy to predict how much you need after the first or second time using it. You can easily use this product to overpower a bad hair day or just to maintain a good style. Ease of use: The guitar pick is an absolutely stellar addition to this product. A few light scrapes along the surface and you have just enough to rub between your fingers and apply to a medium stache. You can apply this dry or with heat and it sets almost instantly, although using hot/cold on a hair dryer is the best and fastest method. The product washes off fingers easily even though it's very tacky when holding it. After a shower, I can't feel the product in my stache, but if I sweat it doesn't seem to affect it which is a win on both sides. Feel: for the wearer it's not super hard or uncomfortable. It's about the consistency of a mild hairgel once dried and can be restyled throughout the day without having to apply more. For others, I would recommend using less than your normal amount as kissing (or other physical contact) will make the wax slightly noticable over a conditioned and cleaned mustache, but it won't explicitly stand out as the wearer having product in their hair. Overall, I think cosmetic products are very subjective, but this product will be my go-to for as long as I can get it!

Superior wax. For a superior look.
This is part of my Everyday Carry. Stays soft in my pocket which is superb for touch ups before and after eating it that midday tune up. I use Death Grip for my base set and Bare Bones for my morning top coat. Sudden Death in my pocket.

Firm holding wax
Really good wax. Very firm with a solid hold. Scent doesn’t bother me at all when using. You’ll want to really warm this up between your finger tips before applying and you’ll want a fine tooth comb for your mustache as well. This product is one of the best waxes I’ve used, if not the best. I use it to keep my mustache out of my mouth, just a simple coating of this wax in my mustache and then combing outward from the center. It seems strong enough to use for other styling as well.

Top of the line moustache wax
Review of Sudden Death, Deathgrip and Bone Crusher mustache waxes. Sudden Death is surprisingly easy to work with, no blow dryer required, it is soft and flexible yet a little tacky, and does wonders for holding my handlebars firmly in shape and place. SD would work be also superb as a during-the-day top-up wax, only it is unnecessary as SD holds splendidly even during the night, so the top-ups, in my case, happen in the mornings, if need be. SD doesn't flake, can be applied easily and evenly, and washes off my fingers withouth problems, and so it does wash off my stache by cleaning it with my regular beard wash bar, so no special wax remover is needed here. I like how the resin dominates the natural scent of this wax, and the discreet shine it gives my moustache. My handlebars are decent enough though not oversized, so I expect a single tin to last for 7-9 months. In my moustache care book, Sudden Death is the best all-around wax out there, period. Now, Deathgrip is everything you get from Sudden Death, and then some. Man, this is something different! Now I do understand and know from experience what "competition grade wax" stands for. The hold this wax is capable of can be described as "rock solid" or "not a stir" or "set & forget" ; on first try I used only a minuscule dot of Deathgrip on both sides of my stache and in no time were my handlebars twirled and set to my perfect liking. This wax is so strong that it is actually too much for the non-twirled portions of my moustache, therefore I am going to use Sudden Death and Deathgrip in tandem, with SD going on most of my stache, and DG on the tips for perfect twirls. This wax is really extra tacky and harder to work with right out of the tin, so a blowdryer comes handy when you need to use Deathgrip. Extra tacky or not, I don't find this is more difficult to wash off my fingers than it is after using Sudden Death. Update nr 2.: Bone Crusher In short: BC is as amazing as the other two varieties I’ve been using for over a year now and of course is in the extra strong/firm hold league just like Death Grip but less tacky. The cans came in branded black plastic pouches with dozens cool stickers, some of which I decorated my inexpensive ukulele with. I still have some Sudden Death but on the long run I’ll be using BC and DG because my handlebars are now also some levels up, in the grown up category so to speak. Heating is of course necessary to work with BC and DG and it is worth the effort big time. As for how long one can lasts I have yet to find out because for a few months now I’ve been washing and cleaning my stache every evening as it has reached considerable length and volume and even though I sleep on my back, my handlebars would look very messy and out of shape if I left the wax in for the night, so now I perform my mustache rituals both in the evenings and mornings. I’d say that in my case it’ll take 5-6 months for one can of BC to run out as I only wax the twirled parts of my handlebars and use only very little quantities at a time. Again, these are all amazing mustache waxes and I recommend them to anyone who wear more prominent mustaches and have yet to find their way into “I don’t have to worry anymore about my stache” territory.

**Death Grip Moustache Wax – The Bee’s Knees Hold for Handlebar Aficionados!**
Good heavens, dollface, this wax is the bee’s knees! One dab of Sudden Death’s Death Grip—and my whiskers stand to attention better than a brass band at Newark Station. The scent? Rye and rosewater, with just a hint of Saturday night soiree—simply spiffing! That clever guitar‑pick gizmo? A real sockdollager: I just flick out the perfect pinch, no fuss, no muss. With one slick application my ‘stache stays curved like the crescent moon over Manhattan—firm as Old Glory in a stiff breeze—and holds all day through speakeasy shenanigans. Styling is a snap, old bean. Even the most obstinate hairs obey like ushers at the Ritz. I twirl my handlebars with panache at breakfast, and by evening I’m still looking the cat’s pajamas. No re‑application needed—this miracle paste is my secret weapon against wayward moustache mutiny. If you fancy yourself a real hepcat with a golden ‘tache, trust me, Sudden Death’s Death Grip is the real McCoy. Five out of five fedoras—this stuff is simply the bee’s whiskers! -Reginald “Reggie” Thistledown, Esq., Handlebar Aficionado
