Best Travel Pillow Ever!
I recently left my J pillow in a taxi on the way to the airport, and was very disappointed to lose it. As soon as I got to the airport I logged onto Amazon and ordered another one, which I received the following day. It came in a nice little nylon storage bag which my first one didn't have. Honestly, this is the best travel pillow I've ever had. It works! I've taken it all over the world on very long trips. It supports your neck, both front and back, as well as the side of your head. It's interchangeable for either the right or the left side. It's almost like having something to lean against to support your head. It's soft and squishy so you can position it just right. And it's washable. There's no comparison with the standard u-shaped pillows which are so uncomfortable. The last one I bought I returned to the store, and that's when I found the J pillow online. This pillow is a little odd looking, but it's well designed to be pliable in fitting around your head and neck, but still provides support. No more chin falling on your chest. And the little loop that snaps around your luggage handle makes it easy to carry with you, hands-free. I highly recommend it! It costs more, but it's worth it to be comfortable while travelling, either in a plane or in a car.

If you like to lean against the window this is your pillow!
I’ve bought multiple travel pillows and I’ve always struggled finding a comfortable one. I go abroad every year and always have at least a 10 hour flight there and back. This pillow is amazing, I always sit by the window. I like to lean against the wall but no pillows are extremely uncomfortable and the typical travel pillow is meant to be used sitting straight up. I was able to lean against the wall with this pillow and easily fell asleep. The only problems I had was that it’s hot. I started to sweat a little but you know planes are almost always freezing anyway so it wasn’t that bad. Also the snap meant to attach it to my luggage broke off. I was still able to easily carry it in the bag it came with. I didn’t even know about this pillow until a family member told me! I’ve searched travel pillows on Amazon and elsewhere online and this never came up until I typed in ‘j pillow’ it needs more attention.

Wouldn't use this on an airplane, but love for home use.
Super cuddly fabric. Great shape for relaxing on the couch when you feel really tired Not so awesome for upright sleeping and here's why: - Does not provide enough support: Ideally it should rest on your shoulder, but it needs some kind of friction from the seat behind you to keep your head upright. - Can only support you one way: Let's say you get it supportive. You are on a long haul international and you want to move your head. You need to wake up and adjust. And if you want to lean your head the other side, you need to completely pick up and move the J-Pillow to the other side of your head/shoulder It's just not ideal for full on airplane sleeping. Check out Cabeau (worn backwards), Komfort Kollar (not ideal as it still pushes my head forward and therefore my chin drops forward, or my new favorite, but bulky and annoying when not using it- Kuhi Comfort Pillow, my current international travel friend. The Kuhi is supportive even if I tip my head to the left or right. It's surprisingly adjustable for size and support. And it doesn't have anything but a strip of fabric behind my head forcing my head and neck forward. So my head can rest against the seat headrest but have support on either side of my head for good sleeping. (All available on Amazon.) But the J Pillow is great for at home. If you are just plain wiped out and you want to chill on your couch or in an easy chair and watch TV, it's awesome. It provides enough support for when you are awake and it's snuggly. Also if you were to lie down on your couch on your side it's really comfy. I recently had a nasty virus that had me down for the count for 3 whole weeks and my J Pillow was there to comfort me on the couch. It's fabulous for lounging. And I would imagine it would be good for light dozing in a car or plane. But for actual quality, several hour sleep sitting upright, no. If you like to chill on your couch, J is your friend!

It is the first travel pillow that actually supports my head enough to be comfortable! I've never liked the C-shaped pillows tha
I purchased this pillow and travel blanket for an especially long trip to Europe (traveling on my partner's frequent flyer miles, I saved money but had to make three connections, with over 24 hours of travel time) and though I have flown trans-Pacific flights many, many times, I've always felt that the minimal comfort travel pillows provide doesn't justify their bulk. I still believe this is true for most pillows, but the J Pillow is an exception! It is the first travel pillow that actually supports my head enough to be comfortable! I've never liked the C-shaped pillows that fit around the neck - they push my head forward uncomfortably without providing much support. I own a Travelrest cross-body inflatable travel pillow and found it to be more comfortable than the others but it was cumbersome to switch sides, and I still didn't feel enough support for my chin, and the Travelrest would also tend to slide out from under my head as I slept and pushed down on it. I was a little skeptical about the J Pillow's promises, and watched lots of videos and testimonials - what convinced me was a video review by a woman who wore it on the train to work. She kept hooking it around her neck with a blissful look as she talked, and she couldn't stop touching it. Her affection for it was obvious! I purchased it, as I said, for this exceptionally long trip, but didn't expect more from it than to make an excruciating experience a little less uncomfortable. What a surprise I got! It was so comfortable that I slept like a baby despite the many layovers. It proved its worth in middle seats, where I could tuck it under my chin, lean the side of my head against it, and feel as if I was pressed against the bulkhead (without the noise of the engines), all without leaning too far towards my neighbors. It was very easy to switch sides. I used it lying down on one happy segment, and it was equally comfortable when used as a traditional pillow in that position. I ended up carrying it everywhere after I arrived - I used it on the TGV train trips, I used it in bed...the only problem I have with mine is that I've used it so much that I've flattened it out a bit (this includes almost two months of happily using it as my pillow at night, though that is not the J Pillow's intended function). It's easy to wash, and I hope that washing will plump it up again, but it's still firm and full enough to be comfortable on flights. I've used it on many flights since that initial trip, and don't want to travel without it. It's worth toting around the extra bulk, and the snap on the top allows you to snap it to suitcase handles or backpack straps, keeping it off the floors and out of the way. Flight attendants did not, as I feared, count it as additional hand baggage - even on Easyjet. I love this pillow!

Comfortable, soft, supportive pillow with a few flaws
After trying a lot of different travel pillows, this was the only one which came close to working well once we figured out how best to position it to keep one's jaw and head supported. The idea is good, and the pillow is exceedingly soft and comfortable, but there are two design issues which prevent it from working really well and being a 5-star pillow (at least for us). First off, the fabric is very soft, which although it's wonderful for one's face where it contacts the pillow, is also a problem for the part that doesn't contact one's face. Due to the slipperyness of the fabric on the back of the pillow, even with the headrest "wings" folded closely, the pillow easily slipped around on the seats, and our heads got lower and lower until we had to re-position ourselves and start again, preventing slumber. If the back side of the pillow (which doesn't touch one's face or head) had a strip of a rougher fabric, it might solve the sliding problem and keep the pillow in place, especially on airlines with smoother seat fabrics. Secondly, for some smaller people, the pillow tended to pop off and not stay in place on one's head. Having a small strap which could snap from the carrying loop to any of the tips might allow the pillow to be strapped in place and remain securely in position on one's head. The only other negative was the size and awkwardness of the shape of the pillow. We had some small, spare stuff sacks which we used to stuff the pillows in before travel, which worked well and made the pillows a more manageable shape and size for traveling. Positives: - innovative pillow shape supports one's head and jaw very comfortably - very soft material is comfortable on one's face, even for those with sensitive skin Negatives: - soft material on the back of the pillow allows it to easily slide around, preventing sleep (adding a patch of rougher fabric on the back of the pillow might eliminate this problem) - for smaller people, the pillow tended to pop off (adding an optional strap might prevent this) - awkward size and shape for travel (a stuff sack would be a great addition for this pillow) Even with a few negatives, for us, this pillow was worth purchasing, despite the price. We added our own stuff sack for travel to eliminate the awkward size/shape, and plan to add a patch of rough fleece or other fabric on the back to prevent slippage on the seat back. It would also be nice if the cover could be removed and washed in hot water to kill any pests one might encounter whilst traveling. Overall, this pillow is very, very comfortable with nice, soft fabric, which is great for sensitive skin. It supports one's head and jaw very well, and if it didn't slip around (on the seat back or off of one's head), it would work incredibly well. Add a small stuff sack into the mix and this could easily be a 5-star pillow.

Best Neck Pillow by a Mile
The J pillow is the best neck pillow I have used and I have tried four other brands before. In fact I got rid of all my other neck pillows. I use the J pillow along with my regular pillow in bed every night. The J pillow supports my neck and keeps my spine in alignment while I sleep. I feel the fact that it is asymmetrical is actually an advantage because it allows more natural head positions than other pillows which require you to sleep in a supine position. The J pillow is very comfortable for back or side sleepers. I also use the J pillow when I am on an airplane, it supports the neck and allows you to nap in a natural position because it can cradle the side of your head. I have also used it when i am reading and reclining on the sofa. It really saves your neck. The covering and the stuffing are by far the softest of any neck pillow I have tried. The outer covering does not seem to pick up lint or dirt. I was worried about that initially when I bought the dark blue covering since I have a white cat, but the pillow has stayed clean. The stuffing is light and soft. The light weight of this pillow is an advantage over others. I highly recommend the J pillow Even if you think you like your current neck pillow, I suggest you try the J pillow, it is well worth the price. Also, I have not seen it at airports so don't wait to purchase it there. Thank you J pillow for saving my neck. I highly recommend this, the J pillow really deserved the Invention of the Year Award.

Maybe a great travel pillow, but "invention of the year" is definitely overselling it
First, I'm not sure WHAT to do with the little button/strap. It's tiny. Any wide, flat straps are going to be too big to fit. That said, even if it were bigger, I still wouldn't strap this to the outside of any bag while I'm traveling, not and then wish to put a dirty pillow on my face. You can squish it well enough to a more compact shape, though, for traveling inside your bag; that's what I do. IMO, it'd be better without this goofy thing. It's a small distraction, but not the reason I ranked it "only" four stars. The reviews and the sales pitch made it seem as if this was the neck travel pillow I had been waiting for my whole life. I've used a few, and have looked for something better, so I bought this. I ranked this as "only" four stars because it's only a four-star product: I like it, but I don't love it. The pillow itself is plush, of course, so some of the support I imagined would exist just... doesn't. The pillow bends and flexes---which is good, of course---but that does mean it offers less support than it would seem to based on the pictures. If it managed to stay as plush while magically providing the support I had imagined it would, it'd have been 5 stars. The J pillow is comfortable, and I can say that I like it, but I'm not sold that the "J" design is all that. Certainly not enough to go fetch it for use while watching TV, as the advert suggests. While traveling? Sure. Around the house? Why bother? It's a good travel pillow, maybe a great travel pillow, but "invention of the year" is definitely overselling it. Still, in the end, I'd probably buy it again.

I feel like Goldilocks! I found a travel pillow that is JUST RIGHT!
I always get a really sore neck on the plane when I drop off to sleep and my head wrenches my neck. I wake up feeling like Quasimodo. Sometimes I sit up straight and go to sleep with my head balanced perfectly, and wake to feel like I have had a 36-lb bowling ball sitting on top of my neck, compressing my spine for hours. So, I looked on Amazon for something better. I found it! I bought the J-Pillow Travel Pillow in time for a long-haul flight, to replace my previous neck pillow. My previous one cost too much, was shaped in the usual "U" shape. It was even made of "memory foam", which I thought would be comfortable, but I think that pillow's last "memory" was serving as a parking lot bumper. It was also tight around my neck, which made me feel like I was choking, so I had to keep turning it. It was better than nothing, but I still had neck problems that kept waking me. The J-Pillow Travel Pillow keeps your head from dropping to the side, front or back, so I wasn't tempted to try to balance the bowling ball on my neck! It's not too big, not too hard, and not too heavy. I think they hit the sweet spot when they invented this pillow! It doesn't matter if you are against the bulkhead so you can lean over, on the aisle with nowhere to lean, or stuck in the middle seat with strangers on each side...this pillow comfortably supports your head, from all directions, and you wake without pain. Did you notice that I said "you wake"? Yes! That is because you can actually sleep! I think you should buy this pillow and enjoy your next flight (and the longing looks of other passengers, who are pacing the aisle because they can't sleep). I might have to arm-wrestle my husband for it, though, because he had to use my old pillow on the flight. Yes, I'll get him one, too. I'm not mean!

It’s mid
I’m not too sold on what makes this better than the usual neck pillow. Perhaps if you need some extra material between your head and chin. The support doesn’t feel that much different. Not to mention the extra work you have to do if you change sides. If you feel too choked by the usual neck pillow, this might be less restrictive.

Game changer travel pillow.
This was a game changer for me. I cannot recommend it enough. I travel from Australia to North East UK economy and I’ve never slept so well and in complete comfort using the pillow. I had a wind and an aisle and it worked well for both. Not too hot, easy to move onto different positions to suit the way I wanted to sleep. (I’m a proper fidget flyer too). Great on my long traon journey too. Just love it. 🥰
