Alpha Skin Care Renewal Serum, 14% Glycolic AHA, 2 Oz

I've been using this product for 18 years. It is the BEST. Doesn't feel like anything out of the pump -- just watery. But somehow it's brightening, clarifying, and moisturizing. I can really tell the difference when I don't use it. I WILL irritate your skin at first, just use it once or twice a week for a while, then it's fine. It's more gentle than some of the ROC products I've used, which really didn't irritate my skin. And it's not one of those products that makes a nice base for makeup -- it's not silky or anything. But like I said, it's the best. I have dry-ish skin, but I'd imagine it would be especially good for oily skin, because it's so light.

I’ve been using Alpha Skin Care products for about 15 years, and I can honestly say they transformed my skin. I originally discovered this line in my early 20s, and the combination of the face wash, glycolic acid products, and retinol gave me results that no other skincare brand has been able to match. Over the past six months, I was influenced by social media trends and decided to try some of the popular, heavily marketed skincare brands. I spent a lot of money chasing the latest products, but my skin only got worse. The packaging was beautiful, the marketing was convincing, but the results simply weren’t there. Two weeks ago, I decided to go back to Alpha Skin Care, and the difference has been incredible. My skin is smoother, brighter, clearer, and looks healthier overall. It reminded me why I trusted this brand for so many years in the first place. What I appreciate most about Alpha Skin Care is that the products focus on ingredients that actually work rather than flashy marketing. The results speak for themselves. I have a tremendous amount of respect for this company and the products they create. After seeing my skin rebound so quickly, I have no doubt that I’ll continue using Alpha Skin Care for the rest of my life. For me, it outperforms every trendy skincare product I’ve tried, and I only wish I hadn’t strayed from it in the first place.

The lotion works well with any top of the line body lotion, mix it in the palm of your hands and lather it all over your body, starting with your hands and the lightweight combination absorbs quickly. No greasy feel. No perfumes, absolutely fragrant free. Added to Lubriderm just rub it all over, especially elbows and knees and you’ve got the perfect combination for perfectly smooth skin! I love it, but during the day use the highest SPF and keep to the shade. It’s been proven that there’s no such thing as a healthy tan!!! I always receive compliments on my skin…

I suffer from extreme hyperpigmentation. This is probably the best thing I discovered for my skin. Ladies and gentlemen please give this a try! No matter what complexion you are it will change your skin for the better. And did I mention you'll look younger. I have to get there body lotion asap.

For the 10% gel: I have dry, but acne prone skin. I’ve been using a bha liquid for years to help with the acne, but it wasn’t helping my wrinkles or dry skin. I eventually decided to try an aha exfoliant, and either layer them or alternate them week to week. I purchased this, and started on the week to week option. I do one week of this and the next of bha. This has made a noticeable difference for me, my dryness has improved and it has helped reduce the overall visibility of my wrinkly areas. The gel has no real scent to it, which I appreciate. It glides on very silkily, and I only need a tiny amount - less than a pea sized drop - to cover my entire face and neck. It can give a slight tingly feeling sometimes but it’s not uncomfortable and it goes away quickly. Even though I’m not using the bha during the weeks I use this, I don’t notice any extra spots cropping up. I couldn’t be happier with it. 5 stars! For the 14% serum: Got this to use as an occasional home peel, since it had a 5 star rating on beautypedia. It doesn’t seem to damage my skin, but neither does it seem to improve it. For the price I’m not too upset, and I’ll keep using it to see if I eventually get some results. 3 stars. Edit: the 14% serum did begin to cause damage and breakouts so I discontinued using it on my face. I have some KP style bumps on my arms and legs and I’ve been using it on those just to not waste the rest, and it has seemed to help a bit, but not as much as my BHA treatment does.

My skin is clearer with recognizable dark spot reduction. Softer.
