Light weight, easy to use and amazing result....
I have Harbor Freight stick and a mig welder which both are entry level and use once in a blue moon mostly on house/car repair. My stick welder took a dumb and saw this that does both with good review, so, at this price point, why not. I was suprised to see how compact/light weight of this welder, After reading the instruction which was cut and dry, I put it together in minutes, it wasn't noisy as HF one when I turn it on and I tried both Mig and Stick (purchse with the welder since no stick came with it) and was very suprised how well the weld came out (had to do some more reading on the setting), I was never able to achieve modling pool/decent bead with HB welder, they always splatters all over but this welder did some amazing weld with my not so good skills. I am very pleased with this purchse.

Impressive little guy
I have been using little cheap mig welders for about 20 years. I have welded more full exhaust then I can count. My old welder crapped out on me in the middle of an exhaust. So I needed a welder fast. This arrived over night. So far I love this little welder. Set it to flux, and used the setting it was on when I first turned it on. (420). Seemed like a good number to start with. I am making very nice welds with this. Way better then with my old one. I learned that with no gas, you shouldn't try to pull a long bead. Just make a spot weld the size of your fingernail. (pinky nail). Stop (pause). When the red glow dies, place another spot weld overlapping the last one. Stop (pause) wait for red glow to die, and repeat until you have completed the whole thing. This will ensure you have nice looking welds, and you don't burn through the metal. Make sure the surface is clean. After 4-5 spot welds, stop and use a wire brush to remove residue, then keep going. Rinse and repeat. If you don't want spatter on the surface around the weld, then cover the area with a wet cloth. Wrap it in wet leather. Something like that, you get the idea. Initially the wire was a pain to get started. Be patient. Remove the tip at the end of the feed first. Once it was all set up, it works nicely. I really love how light it is. Very portable. And easy to store. I am impressed with this $100 welder. Every man should own one and teach himself to weld. Save a lot of money, and it's fun too. If you complete just one task that you normally would have paid someone to do, then it has already paid for it self.

Amazing welder for the price!
This is a great entry level welder! I’ve been welding for 30+ years and was out of state and ended up needing one to fix something for my Dad. I decided to give this a shot. I figured if it got through the small project, it paid for itself. It has an automatic speed setting to match the voltage you set. I figured I’d try it then set it manually afterwards. I left it on auto. I’m am absolutely amazed at the weld quality of this little machine! Sure, flux welding can be a little splattery. The important thing is penetration and weld strength. I cut and customised a tow bar/hitch assembly with it and have zero worries about its strength and longevity. I didn’t try the stick weld function, but it’s worth the price just for the wire feed flux core section of the unit. Easy to set up and run, and it doesn’t weigh a ton. It’s not for all day production, but awesome for projects and repairs.

Great priced beginner welder for small projects
I was a welder for a while and had access to all the best tools and welders. I needed to build a small side table out of tube steel and started searching for a welder under $200 that could do multiple types and handle up to a 3/16" thick steel. The listing for this is a little misleading, it says it can handle 2/5" thick steel which is .4", just under 1/2". The manufacturer information says it can only do 3/32" max. You might get a little more if you chamfer the edges. So make sure you don't need something more substantial. I went with flux MIG because I researched how much it would cost to rent a tank and buy gas and it was a few hundred dollars. I don't plan on using this a ton so it just didn't make sense to get gas, which is by far the better way to go over flux. I love that it has the stick and TIG option, not sure how TIG will work out without gas though. I have only done MIG so far but I'll give stick a shot and see how that goes. The welder is lightweight and the gun and hose are appropriate quality for this level, but it would be worth upgrading them in my opinion after using a more expensive set up before. The hose is cheap material and at one point it pressed up against a recent welded joint and melted the outer jacket. Luckily I noticed before it damaged any of the internals. I can appreciate that the wire feed speed and current are combined into one knob for beginners but - much rather have the control over the two settings individually. It took some tinkering and never really got it consistently dialed in for higher current. The welds were hit or miss but some of that was me having not welded in several years. It would sputter on welds on interior corners, I'm guessing because the nozzle shroud was preventing it from getting to close to the metal. Most of the interior corner welds would come out cold and had to be redone. Butt welds and outside corners were pretty good. It does a pretty good job of a small puddle weld or tack though. It works pretty well on tube, not sure how it would do on thin plate steel, especially with out chamfering any butt joints. The flux MIG makes a huge mess of the weld and anything around the work area. I had some hand tools nearby and they are all covered in tiny black specs so make sure to move anything away that you don't want to get dirty or burns. It's nice that it works on 120V and doesn't trip my breaker at all. Overall I am pretty happy with it, it came down to this or the Toolio.

Easy for the practiced novice to use.
Arrived quickly and packaged well. Simple to follow instructions. Very clear to read control panel. Auto-fast-start setting is a great baseline. If you have any welding knowledge and good practice, this is a super affordable machine that does the job. I welded a broken shaft bushing on a primary drive belt pulley on a garden tractor. Worked perfectly and holding after many hours of continuous use. Can set it low enough for thin tubular steel like is used for DIY gazebo kits, but the slow feed and colder setting can easily block the feeder head, but considering the material thickness used, surprising it could be welded at all. Very pleased and highly recommended!

Excellent welder, paid for itself on first project.
Excellent welder. Bought to fix exhaust leak in car, worked excellent. Stainless steel material is very tough and hard. Paid for itself on first project.

Broken, arrived with the power on/off switch pushed inside the casing
I honestly read tons of reviews and this Yeswelder model seemed like it was going to be perfect to last me for years to come for the small projects and fixes i so from time to time. I even consider myself to be an advocate for Yeswelder as I brought in one of their round metal thickness gauges into our HVAC company's inventory in place of another brand that was more expensive but honestly no better of a product. So when I was reading reviews and Yeswelder was the top choice on my list I was confident I would be receiving a cost effective, high-quality product that I could depend on and would not have to worry about the issues upon issues I have read about customers having issues after purchasing one of the many other lower priced welder models from other competing brands. I received the product just over 30 days ago and I take full responsibility for not opening the box and inspecting the product thoroughly to ensure there were no obvious defects. I did open it and get it out and took everything out of the plastic it was wrapped in for shipment but I did not look over it well enough to notice the big red power on/off switch that would normally be located on the back side of the unit was nothing more than an empty, open rectangular void. I noticed this after setting up the mig/flux core and having everything where the only thing left to do was prep my workpieces and get to welding. It is when I went to turn it off to prep my metal that I remembered thinking it was odd for the unit to power on by plugging it into an outlet but I quickly let that red flag slip past my radar. Going to turn it off, I finally caught it because I knew it made no sense to unplug the unit to power it down. A little disgusted that the quality control at Yeswelder let that get out the door and disappointed in myself for just now noticing the obvious flaw outside of my 30 day window for returns, but i wanted the welder and honestly how hard can it be to get behind the power button of this tiny, simple unit and quickly just push that power button back into its place? Must just snap right in? Just open the flux core spool door on the cabinet and it's hanging in the open right behind it? Nope, but still just maybe like 4 or 5 screws at most and I can slide the back off and reach it? Nope. So here I sit at 2am with all the screws from the sides and top of the welder casing as well as the single screw at the back of the inside spooling cabinet and 4 screws removed from the bottom both the front and back outer frames removed and I STILL can't get the case apart enough to get my fingers behind the power switch so that I can try to press it back into place! I finally took a break because I was getting frustrated so I decided to write this review in hopes that the next potential buyer either chooses differently or it's sure to fully inspect the product immediately after delivery for any defects. Honestly, I still expect the welder to perform excellent and likely worthy of a 5 star review. This brand and their quality has always been able to turn hesitant to buy customers into pleasantly surprised and impressed walking advertisements for their products. Knowing Yeswelder, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if they see this review and in less than 24/48 hours have responded to me with an acceptable solution and a genuine thank you for my business. At that time, I will hopefully be able to use the product finally and I will revise my review accordingly and document the experience. I am currently quite frustrated because this has held up a project but I'm confident it will be made right in the end.

Works well
I love it. Works great. I own many little portable welder machines and this has got to be one of my favorites

Not a bad cheap welder
I bought this to have a cheap welder around the house for various projects and so far I have been able to successfully use it to repair a couple gates and fix the Shop garage door and any other little things that have popped up that needed repair. I particularly like that it is MIG and stick which gives it a bit more flexibility. I did have to replace the ground clamp that came with it, but that was more of an upgrade as after a while I noticed that the clamp wears out fast. I would also recommend getting anti-spatter nozzle gel for MIG welding. This just helps prolong the life of the consumable products.
