I am very satisfied with this monitor. I got this product yesterday and so my tests and review are based on a short period of time. The screen is big and the resolution is great. You can see your baby’s face details and expressions very well. The sound, movement and temperature alerts are working great. The reception range is also great. I live in a two story apartment built from blocks and concrete, and the parent unit has no issues in receiving signal from the camera from a second level. The power adapters are rated 100-240 volts so you can safely use them in Europe. I live in a country that use 220v and connected the adapters through US to European power socket adapter, and everything works great. I like the fact that VTech pays attention to small details like adding a small Velcro style band to hold the power cord when not in use. The only downside I found is that the baby unit (the camera) doesn’t have a build in battery like the parent unit. So it always has to be connected to power via cord. And other small thing is that the minimum temperature alert can be set to 20c max. For example I want the alert to notify me if the temperature falls under 22c, but I can only set it to 20c max.

This is my second purchase of this product. There was nothing wrong with the product, I just spilled water on the monitor.The huge display screen is amazing but it also causes it to be more fragile. If V-Tech sold monitor cases, I would buy one for this! The picture quality on the monitor is so crisp in night vision and in daylight. I also love the full rotation of the camera so I can scan around the room when my son is playing solo. Some of the other features are cool such as the lullabies and microphone feature but I personally don’t use them. I do also love the fact that it is not a Wi-Fi enabled camera so you know you’re safe from hackers. All in all, it is a bit pricey but it is completely worth the money for all that it does compared to other cameras/monitors on the market hence why I bought it a second time! Hope this helps!

No camera lights!!! (It goes off right after activation) I absolutely love this monitor! We have it in our bedroom and it’s mostly in a corner on a dresser it matches in style of wood- it matches the room and feels soft (as elegant as it might try to be- it actually does have style better than others!) I have used this for weeks now, and I could return it for a 4 camera system I am keeping around the house, which has a smaller more pocket friendly display (5”). This is so much bigger. It’s not too hard to carry, but I will be finding a small bag to protect it soon, mostly I kickstand it on the counter of kitchen to clean, and side table to watch movies at night. If I have to go declutter/tidy many rooms and do laundry, it gets a little harder to carry. I love love how easy and clear it is to see and hear Littles (which share a bedroom) at night on a great display, so it’s really won me on that. I can glance and it’s just a really good quality to be extra quick on getting reassurance it’s all good. There is a lot to love about this monitor, but it’s limited to one room/one camera... shrug, if it suits your space for that- I highly recommend this one. No camera lights are important, and also watch out for the battery life and this one has been just fine for these few weeks.

This camera is very clear and the microphone is VERY sensitive. We play lullabies in our baby's room and we can hear them on the monitor very clearly. The monitor is huge and offers clear views. The one complaint is the kickstand on the monitor is off center so if it's not on a flat surface, it falls over.

Editing after one month of use. Returning because the monitor died. Tried plugging it in in different outlets, nothing. Works nicely, love the zoom feature, easy to use. The antennae keeps falling out of its socket though, and I’m afraid one day it will become loose and snag on something. Luckily, my house is small, so I done really need to use it, but if I had to use it daily, this would be a problem. If it weren’t for that, I would have given 5 stars.

When this worked, it was great—exactly what I wanted, but I’ve gone through two of these in a year and now I’m livid. At first, I loved the large screen, the camera quality, the auto sleep/wake feature, and even the lullaby feature. Over time, the temperature gauge started reading things like 2 degrees, but I ignored that because I didn’t really care about that reading. But then I started having more problems. The monitor would randomly freeze or the monitor wouldn’t have any sound output, no matter the setting or volume level. It would randomly disconnect and wouldn’t reconnect, even when I was right next to the camera. And it seemed to have a new issue every time we took it down and set it back up for travel, which wasn’t often, but enough to make me angry. This has now happened twice where I would find the monitor had disconnected, turned the monitor off to turn it back on again; and it would not turn on, no matter what I did. The first time, I thought I just had a defective one, so I bought a new one. The new one did the same thing after about 3 months and now I’m moving on to any other monitor. I’m so mad because this monitor is not cheap and when it did work, it was exactly what I wanted. Oh well, time to move on.

Really good camera! We bought a stand to help being able to look down aT the crib and it’s worked really well so far! This is our extra camera that we keep at grandmas house.

After buying hundreds of clothes, toys, gadgets, etc. the first few years with our toddler- this product BY FAR is the best we have purchased. We have had very simple to complex monitors over the past 2 years (audio only V tech all the way up to Owl camera), this by far is the best made, most user friendly and the best screen display and usability. The screen itself is huge. Whenever our friends come over they are shocked by the comparison. The camera can also be moved, rotated and zoomed via the controls of the parents monitor. We had the previous model which got lost on a flight sadly. The new model is slightly more esthetically pleasing with a faux bamboo looking camera as opposed to the original plain white. It’s cute and looks well made. It also comes with a wall hook if you are planning to mount it above baby’s bed. We travel often so have never used this feature. The monitor also has a built in sound machine with a handful of lullabies, white noise, crickets, etc. which is nice if you are toting this around and don’t want to bring a ton of gear. When I went to set up our new model it required LITERALLY no set up. All I did was press the ON button and it automatically found the camera- no button pushing, syncing, linking, imputing wireless, etc. The monitor has never had issues finding connection, even when visiting my parents who have really questionable service. It also has an “antenna” (not the kind your thinking of, but a small white extension) for extra power if you have a big house or have trouble with WIFI. And there you have it. You’re welcome.

Love the no WiFi feature, it's very simple and efficient. The remote music feature to help soothe baby is great. The image quality is perfect. There is about a 1sec delay but otherwise nothing is wrong with it! Update: this monitor has been running since Feb 2022 non stop without issue. The camera is getting a bit hot. Still running non stop, Jan 2024.

With up to 1,000 feet of range, totally incorrect statement, only 23 feet, not suitable for a large house

Searched for a camera forever. I have horrible internet so i needed a no wifi camera and this does the trick! No problem with battery or picture. I over rotated it once but shutting it on and off fixed it. Sound isn't terribly loud. No complaints here
