Great!!! But not 100% for me, had to buy another system
No camera lights!!! (It goes off right after activation) I absolutely love this monitor! We have it in our bedroom and it’s mostly in a corner on a dresser it matches in style of wood- it matches the room and feels soft (as elegant as it might try to be- it actually does have style better than others!) I have used this for weeks now, and I could return it for a 4 camera system I am keeping around the house, which has a smaller more pocket friendly display (5”). This is so much bigger. It’s not too hard to carry, but I will be finding a small bag to protect it soon, mostly I kickstand it on the counter of kitchen to clean, and side table to watch movies at night. If I have to go declutter/tidy many rooms and do laundry, it gets a little harder to carry. I love love how easy and clear it is to see and hear Littles (which share a bedroom) at night on a great display, so it’s really won me on that. I can glance and it’s just a really good quality to be extra quick on getting reassurance it’s all good. There is a lot to love about this monitor, but it’s limited to one room/one camera... shrug, if it suits your space for that- I highly recommend this one. No camera lights are important, and also watch out for the battery life and this one has been just fine for these few weeks.

Great monitor
This camera is very clear and the microphone is VERY sensitive. We play lullabies in our baby's room and we can hear them on the monitor very clearly. The monitor is huge and offers clear views. The one complaint is the kickstand on the monitor is off center so if it's not on a flat surface, it falls over.

TERRIBLE!!! BEYOND TERRIBLE!!!!
Ever buy an expensive BABY MONITOR AND CAMERA that doesn't work?! Well if you have, then stay away from this "UPGRADED" VTech VM919HD Video Monitor because it will literally just break on you without any notice!!!! I haven't even had the thing for 4 MONTHS!!! And the monitor is completely broken and won't power on! And before you ask more questions.... This thing is in mint condition! What was I doing when it decided to just give me the black screen of death?! Sitting on my bed with it sitting next to me. My daughter was in her crib rolling around trying to fall asleep. So I'm watching and listening to her roll, and suddenly the screen freezes. Weird.. Never done that before! So I wait a second, it doesn't unfreeze. I try to push a button, nothing, none of the buttons work. Ok.... So I power it down. Cool, no problem. Powers down.... I wait a 10-15 seconds.... Go to power it on, nope. Won't turn on! It had a full battery... But I plug it in, wait a second, (it automatically turns on when you plug it in... Annoyingly.... Every time. BUT NOT THIS TIME!) So I try to power it on, a million times and it won't turn on. unplug, plug in, unplug.... Ok reset button.... Is that even really a reset button?!?!? It doesn't feel like you're pushing anything but plastic... Well it's now been 3 hours, which I had a million other things to do, but instead I've been trying to get this monitor to work since I need to observe my baby sleeping for the night in the crib! NOPE! Broken. It's 11pm now... And I have NO way to watch the baby sleep tonight, unless I like go crawl in her room and sleep on her floor because this piece of plastic is just that, money wasted!!! And it's not even 4 months old. So literally I'd have been better off order a no name baby monitor from some other country and that thing would probably last me 10 years for $30. DON'T BUY THIS IF YOU WANT PEACE OF MIND!!! And don't worry. It has a warranty... You can email them and someone might write you back within 2 business days.... Or you can physical mail them under the limited warranty and they'll give you a laundry list of stuff to send them in order for them to help you and FIX the device that they sold you that breaks so fast you don't even get your monies worth out of it. And you know, you don't NEED the baby monitor every-single-day to watch your child... So why not hold your breath and wait weeks/months to see if they'll help you without forking out more money for a different product??? Terrible. Absolutely terrible.

This is perfect!
I am very satisfied with this monitor. I got this product yesterday and so my tests and review are based on a short period of time. The screen is big and the resolution is great. You can see your baby’s face details and expressions very well. The sound, movement and temperature alerts are working great. The reception range is also great. I live in a two story apartment built from blocks and concrete, and the parent unit has no issues in receiving signal from the camera from a second level. The power adapters are rated 100-240 volts so you can safely use them in Europe. I live in a country that use 220v and connected the adapters through US to European power socket adapter, and everything works great. I like the fact that VTech pays attention to small details like adding a small Velcro style band to hold the power cord when not in use. The only downside I found is that the baby unit (the camera) doesn’t have a build in battery like the parent unit. So it always has to be connected to power via cord. And other small thing is that the minimum temperature alert can be set to 20c max. For example I want the alert to notify me if the temperature falls under 22c, but I can only set it to 20c max.

Great range, even better video quality
This is hands-down the best baby monitors that doesn’t require Wi-Fi. I ordered an attachable clip arm that the camera can attach to and can be moved from room to room. We’ve had this now for a year and it’s really the best product, better than my expensive Wi-Fi enabled Owlet.

Works fairly well, get the job done, but not worthy the premium charge
After a few weeks of use, here is my thoughts about this product: 1.Picture quality: 720P camera isn't a hype, it doesn't give me a clear picture, the night vision quality is really so so. Talk about another their selling point: IPS screen. The screen does provide better viewing angle but it is not the in-cell IPS screen like your touch screen mobile phone, there is a huge gap between the outside glass or plastic screen and the LCD screen layer just like $100 phone you can get at 15 years ago, that's the technology you will get on this IPS screen. 2.Sound quality: fairly speaking, the speaker quality on the camera unit sounds like trash, it maybe worth than a 5 box PC speaker you can get, so do not think about use it as a white noise machine, it sounds horrible compares to my Hatch Rest, but I'm not counting on using this Vtech as a white noise machine anyways, so it doesn't bother me. 3.Sensors: a) the microphone on camera unit is not as good as my old Vtech pure audio baby monitor they made like 8-10 years ago, the old audio only monitor does a good job of detect baby's cry and it still works perfectly. How ever the advanced video+audio monitor cannot detect the baby's cry very well when I compare them side by side. b) the motion detection senior, I would say they work most of the times, but I do caught quite a lot of times that it cannot detect the baby's movement (I set the sensibility to the highest level already) , so don't count on turning off the monitor screen and let the motion detection to trigger on your parent unit, you want your screen always on, period. c) don't think the temperature sensor is going to measure the baby's body temperature, it just tells the environment temperature where you placed it, I know some people may think it is going to measure body temperature. 4.Sigal and connectivity: the signal is fairly strong enough within 30 ft to 40 ft range and 2-3 walls or 1 floor (I didn't test the long range connectivity), but the signal delay is fairly high (more than half a second, significantly worse than the pure audio monitor). 5. Bugs and trouble-shooting: in the first I encountered the camera unit die, so the parent unit cannot connect with it, simple unplug the camera unit and re-plug it in, the problem solved. There is an annoying bug on its software I think, when I toggle off the night light of the camera unit, it will automatically turn back on immediately. reboot the camera unit can solve the problem, but the issue some times will repeat, it bothers me sometimes when I just want to keep the room dark for the baby. 6. Value for money: it depends on what price you get it for. It list at 99 box in general, I would say, if you already willing to spend this amount you absolutely want to go somewhere else like babysense, that will be a wised choice. But if you get this Vtech on promo like nearly half of its listing price, I would say grab it, there's not much can go wrong.

Functional, but short-lived
Really liked this monitor, but it didn’t last very long. After about 1 yr of use, the plug port on the monitor became very finicky and would only charge if the plug were exactly in 1 position, which meant we had to tape it to that position for it to charge. Glad we had the insurance on it. It did work well and I loved having the VOX mode. Night vision was decent enough, though I wish the zoom was true optical zoom, as it was so blurry that it was worthless.

CHIME ALERT
I had another monitor on my registry that was gifted and quickly realized that it didn’t have an actual chime/sound alert when the baby moved. I did SO much research and learned that VTech uses MOTION detection and not “VOX Mode” like so many others. This is so so important because with VOX, there was a light to indicate baby was crying but that means that you still have to be watching the monitor to see when the light goes off. With motion detection on this monitor, I can actually step away peacefully and do chores knowing that a sound will alert me when baby moves. Hope that makes sense for you mamas and dadas

Great monitor, would not be without it
Love the no WiFi feature, it's very simple and efficient. The remote music feature to help soothe baby is great. The image quality is perfect. There is about a 1sec delay but otherwise nothing is wrong with it! Update: this monitor has been running since Feb 2022 non stop without issue. The camera is getting a bit hot. Still running non stop, Jan 2024.

With up to 23 feet of range only
With up to 1,000 feet of range, totally incorrect statement, only 23 feet, not suitable for a large house

No problems so far!
Searched for a camera forever. I have horrible internet so i needed a no wifi camera and this does the trick! No problem with battery or picture. I over rotated it once but shutting it on and off fixed it. Sound isn't terribly loud. No complaints here
