Gave as a gift. Great value for the money and easy for toddlers to use.

Great for small hands
I was psyched to see these crayons, as my son is 16 months old and I thought I would have to wait much longer to introduce him to the world of coloring. I got my regular monthly e-mail from LeapFrog that suggested coloring for toddlers, so I figured I would look into it and found these crayons that said 12 months plus! Upon receiving them, they look like they will be perfect for my son's small hands - and small mouth, in that there is really no way a child could choke on these simply by putting them in their mouth. They are much bigger than a toddler's mouth, but not too big for their hands, so they can enjoy coloring and you can enjoy quiet time without having to worry about them choking on a crayon.

good for first crayons
My son showed real interest in them when he was about 13 month. Not so much treating them as balls and throwing them around anymore. He could hold them tightly and pressed down on paper. (not too easy, I was surprised at its weight at first) The yellow is not showing too well on white paper without pressing them really hard (this is me talking, no chance on his part). But overall we both like them. Its shape, though sometimes enticing to be thrown/rolled around, does add fun. After a lot of throwing, the blue (of course the favorite one) broke into halves hence I am now on the hunt again. (this time around, he's almost 15 months, I'm going for "real" crayons, aka stick-shaped)

Kid Approved, Mom Approved, Easy to Use!
Love, Love, Love these colored Crayola Palm Grip "Eggs"! My toddler was having trouble holding the standard crayons as she is developing her motor skills. Both of us were getting frustrated as the regular crayons kept breaking in half when she tried to use them. Each time a standard crayon broke it would become harder and harder for her to use them. I kept having to throw away so many broken crayons and purchasing more to replace them. In addition as a parent I was afraid she may choke if she ever put a broken piece in her mouth! She loves to color and this product is the perfect shape for her little hands to hold onto without the possibility of breaking while she uses it. Beautiful colors, easy to grip and fun shape for kids! From a parental concern they are well designed, affordable and don't break easily if thrown or rolled off the table which is a huge plus around small children! *Highly Recommended by This Mom!

Kiddo Loves Them
My son has been coloring with these since we got them at 11 months. They're easy for him to hold and color. He can throw them across the room and drop them on the hardwood floor and they won't break like traditional skinny crayons. Great gift for little ones.

Hard to draw with
These were a great size and easy to hold but they take a fair amount of pressure to make decently visible marks on several different drawing surfaces. Kid lost interest with them easily and threw them instead. 10/10 on throwability

Great for fine motor development!
I got these for my son who just turned one years old for fine motor development, since he needs to work on that (a teacher recommended this). He doesn't necessarily know how to scribble with these yet, but they are the perfect size and shape for developing fine coordination. Also, from the picture you can't tell that the WHOLE egg shaped thing is the crayon. This will last forever! Also, my son already tried to eat it before I quickly took it away and he wasn't able to chip any of the crayon off, because of how durable it is. Love it

It's very good in principle until your child decides to throw it into your TV... Then you realize that it could do some serious damage not suitable for children under 5 but then again above 5 years can carry a normal craion just fine

I have given these to a 1 year old, I found that these aren't the easiest for small kids to use to draw. They use normal crayons more intuitively. Obviously these have the benfit that they are to big to swallow, however I would recommend just waiting till they are a little old and giving them crayons.

Purchased for my 1yr old niece, she was able to grip them without issue and they are sturdy enough that they donโt brake up when she has had enough and throws to the floor!

Eggs are designed in layers which can easily brake when dropped on a hard surface or hit together. You end up with broken easter egg like pieces of crayons, makes it a serious choking hazard.

Perfect for my 1yr olds hand and the crayons are smooth.
