JINHAO 35 Fountain Pen (Steel Body, Extra Fine Nib 0.38mm)

This pen is amazing. The design is super sleek. The weight is just right; not heavy causing fatigue, but not so light as to not be able to feel it. Getting the ink flowing the first time is a little tricky, so be sure to have some patience and a lot of paper towels nearby. It took dipping the tip in some water to help get the ink really going, but the paper towel took care of the rest.

This pen is wonderful. It's affordable, extremely easy to fill, and very comfortable to use. It's a great pen for first time fountain pen users and for those who want to add a great pen to their collection. I'm very happy with the purchase.

This is one of the smoothest-writing "Fine" nib I have in my rather large collection. The others I have which are this smooth and wet-writing are on pens which cost at least 7 times what this one cost. I am very impressed with this one. I have used Waterman Black ink in it, as well as Pilot Iroshizuku Take-sumi ink. The pen itself is very comfortable for me to hold, because despite being somewhat slim in appearance, the grip-section is the thickest part of it, and the lightly brushed surface is very pleasant to hold; I don't find it slippery at all. The overall build is quite sturdy-feeling without being overly heavy. I do find that the pen is slightly back-weighted if you post the cap (only slightly). The cap does post quite securely. The only thing I can find to criticize about the pen is that, on mine at least, the cap does not attach so securely that I would want to rely on clipping it into place on the outside of a pocket or the edge of a shirt, etc. I believe the weight of the pen is enough to pull it loose from the cap under those conditions. No problem for me, since I don't carry my pens that way, but it might be an issue for someone. All in all, a wonderful everyday writer in a classic, streamlined style.

Works beautifully and is very reasonably priced. Tip is very fine and writes smoothly. The pen feels wonderful in the hand. I couldn’tbe happier. I may also buy the same pen with the medium tip.

Not worth the price even how cheap the price is. Pen doesn’t even write. It’s impossible to get the ink flowing correctly and the metal feels more like plastic.

Very good pen, it even has a cartridge converter! The the nib does not flex so it is good for drawing with the extra fine tip. Too bad they did not show a photo of the converter. I ended up with cartridges that don't fit. The threads inside appear to be plastic so they can't rust.

Works well in every way , light , easy to hold , smooth , no skips no leaks .

Nice pen in hand. Just enough weight. Sorry to say it began to leak then feed section fell out. No way to make it usable. Had to toss it. I have other Jinnah pens that are reliable and a pleasure to use.

I have used this pen for over a year now and it still is working well. It glides on paper, no blotch or leaks. The converter is great as it saves on disposable cartridges. Love this pen.

It’s alright so far, although only had it for a few days. Writes well, posts well, and I like the minimalist style of the pen. It doesn’t take standard cartridges so you are better off buying a bottle of ink as well….it comes with a converter. I have heard these 35s are a bit hit and miss in terms of the quality, but all good so far for me. I like jinhao pens, they are great value compared to the big players. Proof that China can produce things that are just as good but at a lower cost, meaning a cheaper unit price for the consumer. At under £8 this is a steal.

Build quality is very impressive. Supplied ink suction thing works great, does not leak. My pen has fine nib, it writes very smooth and doesn’t leave gaps when I write fancy fast swirly letters. For £8, what a brilliant beautiful pen. Obviously expensive pens you’re paying for the name. They compare to this equally well. Recommend and will buy another if I drop it on its nib !
