Smokitcen Adjustable Heat Focusing Reflector for Round Natural Gas and Propane Patio Heaters

This worked out great. It casts the heat away from the house and out into my deck. Just in time to watch the playoff games on my deck. Simple to put together and you just clip it to the edge of heat shield. If you are short use a step stool and do not attach it while the heater is on.

We had little hope this would work. It really does reflect heat in whichever direction you want! I sort of wish it was longer, but it's not a huge deal. We use it on our outdoor propane heater and it's a significant difference on the side to which the heat is deflected vs. the backside of the device. Much cooler on the backside.

The price I find it well made easy to attach and does direct heat downward. However, do not attach it on the same size as your controls as it half melted my knob, the first time I used it! There should be a warning in the directions telling you not to put it on the same side as a control knob.

Keep in mind at what we’re doing. We are wanting to keep all of the heat in one central area. So that is going to make everything on this outside propane heater, hotter in that area. And what is in that area? The plastic knobs. So until they make these with better knobs, I don’t think that this is a safe thing to have on a heater. It does a good job, but it really is a fire hazard. So, part of the blame does lie on these heater companies. But if the design was done differently , maybe the knob would not melt. I just don’t know how it would have to be done. We need to go back to the heater companies and tell them. And they’ll just say you don’t need a shield. Or we would’ve included it. But sometimes it gets a little windy and I want to make sure that it’s contained. And they would say just don’t utilize it in the wind. I don’t, when it gets consistently windy. But I’m not going to turn it off altogether when I’m only getting a little bit of wind for 1-5% of the time that it’s being utilized. I just don’t like to see flames come out when a breeze comes through . so it’s a great idea. But these heaters all have parts that are getting way too hot.

Since we don't need the heater to work 360, this was great at redirecting the heat towards us and save some gas in the process. Easy to clip onto the hood and readjust if needed. Lasts outside but has rusted a little over the past few years, but given the price works and looks better than sticking aluminum foil up there. We bought our heater from Amazon basics.

I decided to get a heat reflector after seeing one at my friend's house. I ended up buying this as it was cheaper than the one he had and figured it had good reviews so I should give it a shot. I was wrong. These reviews must've been written by their friends or something because I was shocked at what showed up on my doorstep. The thing is tiny. Much shorter than the one I had seen. The metal was super thin and flimsy. it bends in all different directions. Not sure what metal they actually used. The accordion style hinges the used not only looks cheap, but felt like they would break if I used it a few times. Also the clamps felt like they were going to break off. They were so flimsy. They even sent a replacement clamp. I knew right then and there this was garbage. I returned it right away. I knew this wouldn't work for me. Ridiculous. Save your time and energy.

Sure it's flimsy but it's cheap and does the trick, easy to install. Directed heat way further than before.

No instructions included, needed to find a picture and enlarge it. It took about 20 minutes to assemble, and you need the proper tools. Once securely clipped on after minor adjusting, it did the job. Folds up nicely for storage. Not bad for the price.

Cumple con lo prometido: refleja el calor del calentador y disminuye la radiación hacia la parte que protegen las placas. Son de aluminio por lo que no se van a corroer pero hay que cuidar no golpearlas o doblarlas pues es muy suave. Tuve problemas con las pinzas porque el disco de mi calentador tiene orillas muy gruesas que las pinzas no pueden “morder”. Tuve que hacer una modificación invirtiendo las pinzas de tal modo que las pinzas sirven solo para mantener en posición, quedando en la “ceja” del disco.

Me gusto mucho y funciona muy bien
