Embroidery Threads are FINALLY Organized By Color
Very happy with this spool thread rack. I have my embroidery thread organized by color now, whereas previously it was all jumbled up in a box. Makes it much easier to choose which colors to use in a project. I can't believe it is almost full; glad I got the 120 spool rack. The rack is well-constructed and the price is reasonable for what you get. I am currently using it with the stand but will probably eventually get around to hanging it on the wall to make more room in my sewing room. I'm not going to bother staining it because it looks just fine unfinished, but if you decided to stain it, it would look even better. (I also bought the thread nets from the same seller and they work well also, so now my threads are untangled as well as organized.)I also want to mention that I had excellent customer service from this seller, and I would not hesitate to order from them again.

I think I ordered the wrong size!
I gave 4 stars because it is a well constructed rack but I’m not sure about how well spools fit on it. I am a newbie to machine embroidery and purchased a box of 100 spools sized 1100 Yards each, then bought this rack to hold them. I suspect I may have ordered the wrong size because the spools won’t fit side by side without turning every other one upside down (and then they’re a little sloppy). I decided to keep the rack since I managed to make it work. I hope to find a better option when I’m ready to buy another rack.

Regular spools & small cone threads fit nicely on rack.
Easy ordering, prompt shipping. Most of my smaller threads & cones fit nicely on pegs. The larger serger cones will not work on this rack.Fits flush with the wall if you want to hang it as I did.

Thanks ThreadNanny, I love these racks for organizing all my thread!
I am very happy with this spool holder. 120 spools in one place. I have 3 and I will probably order 1 more. The thread looks pretty and you can really see what you want instead of looking in drawers and boxes. My only wish is that they would make one that is the same size but holds 60. I have some thread that has a large base and they don't fit the 120 spool size. That would be perfect! I do all kinds of sewing with a lot of embroidery, and I used to store all these in boxes and they were always in the way. Now I can see exactly what shade or color I need.

Best Nanny Ever!
What great, space saving, easy to use storage! I had been storing all my thread in an old sewing box with multiple trays. That meant every time I needed thread I had to pull out the box, open it up and pull out the trays to see if I had the correct color. This keeps all the spools visible and in one place. I have used it with the stand and hanging - both work well. Be sure to take an inventory of how many spools you actually have. I bought the 120 spool version thinking I'd have loads of space for new additions. I practically filled it from my current accumulation! Time to use up some black thread for sure!

Liked it so much I bought another one!
bought one (then couple hours after delivery another) to organize my mess of a thread collection. Fits all my thread sizes no problem and the spindles are narrow enough that you can put a bobbin on first followed by the thread (other way around won’t work) to keep like colors together. It does have hooks on the back for hanging and a stand if you prefer to have it on the workspace. It is narrow enough that I was about to hang one on each side of the sewing room closet before I hit the shelving.

Mount it on the wall
HOLDS 120 spools of thread, sounds ridiculus but I have several smaller thread racks and I just keep adding more. this one takes the place of 2. As an avid seamstress and quilter you seem to acquire lots of thread because you need many colors to coordinate with the work you are doing. I mount them on the wall so they are permanent and out of the way. There is nothing worse than knocking over one of these filled with thread. thread spools fly everyewhere and make a big mess.

Thread nanny
This is just what I needed! I'm planning to pickup sewing after 20 years, now that I'm retired and have the time. But first I must finish decluttering and reorganizing. The ThreadNanny has helped me organize the many spools of thread by color..... I had them scattered everywhere. I've hung mine on the wall directly above my sewing machine....which happens to be sitting on my newly painted desk that has been in my family for years! I haven't even filled the ThreadNanny but in time I'm sure that I will. Also, compared to most sewing stores, this one was the most reasonably priced and held the most....all sizes.I would highly recommend this product!
