Perfect for what we were looking for- more of an unobtrusive small floor lamp, not really tall, but perfect height to aim towards a book when reading in bed and trying not to keep your partner awake. Everyone that sees them loves how they look. This is not a lamp that will light up the room, or do much other than aim a small area of bright light. Because of the flexibility of the goose neck, its possible to aim it directly where you want it to be. Its an LED light, which doesn't get hot, the light fixture is flat and small, brushed silver. The on off switch is located on stand, perfect height to reach over and turn it on or off. ### ⭐ Quality is lacking *by S***P on October 16, 2019* There are many lamps out there and I picked this one for the flex neck and the contemporary design. I really like the way you could place the light where you wanted it, though the light brightness was on the lower side. However what has really disappointed me, is that the lamp has now failed. It just simply shut off and that's it. You are not able to change the bulbs, though seller claims that they will last 50,000 hours. Don't believe it. I did not own this lamp 9 months, no return or exchange (as of yet) so it's nothing more than paper weight. Really disappointed. If the seller exchanges it, then I will update this posting. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Very nice rig, with one flaw *by T***N on November 23, 2011* This light is every thing it seems to be. It has very nice, albeit harsh high temp colored light, perfectly adequate for no eye fatigue and letting the wife get some winks. The stem is long enough to reach any where it needs to go.My one gripe; it is switched downstream of the transformer. This means the transformer is sucking about 90% of the electricity it uses when turned on when it is turned off, and unless it is on a switched receptacle it is sucking and wasting electricity 24/7.
