will there be a heat pack included?

I live in a warm climate so there was no heat pack.

Can you just sit them around the house?

Yes, you can sit them directly on any surface. If you go on Pinterest there are many examples of mounting them on the wall or using shells, or stands to display them. I'm using some whimsical face planters, and a small metal tree for mine. My friend uses a pretty little clear glass cake plate. As long as they get good circulated air, some sun, and an occasional bath or misting they do great. Good luck!!

I just got mine in the mail, but there were no instructions. what do i do next? mist it? soak it?

Hello, That plant is a Xerographica, comes from a dry, desert climate so it does does not need a lot of water. If you like the really curly leaves, you can just spray it 1X per week. Do they need sun to live?

All Tillandsia need some amount of sun. The Xerograpica needs bright but indirect light. Because it's native habitat is Africa, however, it can get away with slightly less water then other varieties.
