I didn't want to get anything too expensive as a first watch in case it got lost/broken. This was perfect. It is inexpensive and surprisingly also very rugged. We love the oversized look on the wrist. It fits an adult but it is not too big on her either. It's been a couple of months now and still going strong. She loves it (especially the purple accents) and wears it daily. The functions are all there but some of them are less intuitive to navigate to. She mostly just uses the backlight and has an alarm set for the morning bus. It also beeps every hour (even through the night) and it can only be turned off if you turn off all sounds/alarms...
